Sitting up in the sun room listening to hail and watching flashes of lightning . as thewoodlands has said, it just won't stop/ a tornado may have landed near the area a State park was hit and a husband and wife died in their camper.
I didn't think my town got hit too hard from Sunday's storm, but apparently we were on the list of hard hit places. They may have lumped in Antrim (an adjacent town) with Hillsboro.
Drought has been broken in parts of Missouri, saw some hail that had to be 2-3” in diameter. These were taken 30-45 minutes after the storm was over. Saw a couple that looking like baseballs that were gone by the time I got outside.
I emptied our rain gauge yesterday when I was covering firewood, we had some heavy rains overnight and this morning so after 1 cup of coffee, I checked the rain gauge and we received 1 inch of rain. It rained hard enough that it turned the rain gauge around, it was facing south but when I checked it the numbers were facing north. It was 64 this morning with the smoke still hanging around, were just started getting some sun.
Just under 3/4 of and inch fell last night in Southern VT. Much less than we could have gotten thankfully.

We had something we were going to do tomorrow but since we have possible chitty weather tomorrow, we did that today. We were getting low on propane for the grill so we had the extra tank filled and we also purchased 4.5 gallons of gas for the generator, that will give us plenty with what we had if the power goes out.

We got them but the hail missed us. Was bad east of us though. He had heavy rain, wind and lightning. Took out one of my computers.
