Just got home and had to do a small repair/weld job on a tractor implement. Was going to split a little wood after work today, but common sense and a smarter than me wife won out. B7C4F4D4-4BAE-40AE-8F21-BA1114E41CB9.png . This is beyond disgusting weather! I am gonna try to do some brush hogging but honestly may be too hot to even sit on a tractor. Feels like 120 and I concur. Wind feels like a hair dryer. Everyone stay safe out there !

I went out earlier for the same reason, not quite so hot, not quite so humid. As soon as I walk out my front door 2 deer flies start flying in circles around my head. Maybe I will battle the wifi printer wake from sleep problem instead. Again.

No wood pile work for me today. Instead I got the bright idea to change the toilet in our camper when I got home from work (old one was leaking) . It was 104⁰ in the trailer with the vent fan on lol. :dennis:.

Reminds me how good of an investment it was last year when I totally replaced the AC system on the semi.

Smart move. Tomorrow or the day after is another (hopefully cooler) day. If you do take it slow and stay hydrated my friend.

I was in the sun for a few hours today at work and it wasnt pleasant. High around 90 with dew point mid 60's. Gonna be higher tomorrow here (groan)

I brush hogged about an hour and moved some brush. Had a fence broke and got that fixed. About 2 hours and nothing strenuous but man it’s gross. Another similar day tomorrow but part of living in Oklahoma I guess.

Friend down the road asked last night if I’d bring a few pine logs home from another guy on our road.Said he’d be home all day. Every vehicle was gone from his driveway :)
So trailers hooked up. Gotta do something with it. Went to my neighbor down the road and grabbed some mostly hickory for myself. Still too hot out there if you ask me :)

Free hickory, I could always be persuaded to get out in it I suppose!

Looks like we are going to go through the entire summer this year and not hit 100 degrees. Pretty unusual for dodge city, Ks. Was 96 degrees today…warmest of the year so far. 30 day forecast showing upper 70’s to lower 90’s. Last summer we had over 40 days 100 degrees or more….hottest summer ever recorded. This summer will go down as the coolest ever recorded…crazy! I will take it, wish every summer was like this. Was hot enough for me to stay inside tonight though. Canned 14 quarts of sauerkraut that has been percolating in the crock for about a month. Going to be gone next week helping my dad while he recovers from back surgery. Mrs. Fudd said I had to can that stinky s$&t before I leave. Got Er done. Will start another crock when I get home.

And to think. I've been asked many times why I don't move further south... Yesterday's high was 74 and 58 this morning here.

It doesn’t bode well for August & September nor do I put much faith in what the weather guessers predict. I have spent some rather hot & steamy days in your area in August & September.

I hope your father heals up quickly.
