My tree guy spent some time cleaning up his yard yesterday. He dropped off 5 loads. This will keep me busy for a little while. Lots of oak, a fair amount of silver maple, some ash and some poplar at quick glance.
What do you do with the nasty crotch stuff? I cut them into 4-6" long pieces for my parent's huge box stove. Doesn't need to be split.

Thank you. Being free from utility bills is amazing and if I couldn’t burn the scraps, I’d most likely have to pay to get rid of it.
Did you come across any of these reforestation plantings while you were there? It’s my understanding that when the first Norsemen stepped foot onto that island, it was completely forested. After a few centuries of settling, General commerce and grazing, it all vanished. Good to see efforts being made to bring some of it back, albeit it’s a slow process.
Tough day out there today. Made it till 12:30 before going home to get ready for a pool party. Have my sons 11u base ball team and families here for sone grilling and swimming. an I included a pic of the most recent delivery. Fruit salad as I call it. Mulberry, red oak, walnut, and a maple log.
