The roof will only be seen by the birds and google Earth when the leaves are off the trees. Faces into the woods and a very shallow slope.
Mother nature changed my work plans today and it dried enough for me to split the sassafras from yesterday as well as the rest of the dead ash this afternoon. Not the most pleasant working conditions. Wet and very humid. Moved the nicer splits next door and stacked. Right side of shed closing in on being filled. Scrounged a handfull of roofing screws so set four courses and tacked. Not nearly enough so i'll back screw when i get more. Its definitely a calico roof. Far sheets not yet attached. I think the end is in sight.
The color matched taillight tape is an added touch. I've got to fix mine this week. It latches on one side now but not the other AND the latch isn't working now.
Mine only latches on the left side. I had blue painters tape and changed it a while back to red and no one noticed. The red has started to peel and ill have to "fix" that.
We have a cheap junkyard in town. I was going to do searching for a new one if i can't straighten it out. I figured I'd try some commercial ratchet straps and a steel post as an anchor and see if I can straighten it out. If I find a replacement, I'll use the junker for wood hauls only lol.
All of the above! Id replace it, but now it has sentimental value! EDIT: i see CBV beat me to that comment.
