Man did it ever rain down hard and fast yesterday afternoon. Could barely see out the windows for over an hour. It was hitting so hard a spray was coming off the roof. Driveway and a couple areas of the front yard were flooded. Mostly gone today but the ground is really soggy. Had some more showers this morning. At least there will be no drought this summer. Just mushrooms and mold:confused:

We got a lil too. Started Saturday night on and off thru Sunday. Sun popped out Sunday mid day and ran again Sunday night with a bit of thunder. Sunny today, But breezy.

Good news is the garden is about to yield some yellow squash. Maybe tomorrow or so. Carrots almost, might be another week and we'll have some lettuce as well! :D

Someone on the NH Reddit posted asking if all this rain has refilled groundwater enough to avoid drought conditions. Someone posted a reply linking to a NH Dept of Environmental Services interactive map showing the 33 wells around the state they monitor. Readings taken at the end of each month, posted the next week. Current one from end of June shows all at normal or above normal levels.

Last time I checked we were still in a moderate drought. But I think it improved some??

Getting a good boomer now, No complaints as we had a nice day overall.

It has been a wet 2 weeks, that's for sure. Last week probably got somewhere around 4-5". Got a tad over 2.5" of rain in the 24 hours ending last night. The ground was dry enough (but moist enough - ya know what I mean?) that it soaked most of it in. I just had a small puddle in the backyard, and one between the driveway and roadside garden that were pretty much gone by yesterday afternoon. Those puddles told me that the ground is finally saturated, after having only drizzles, with occasional 1/8" showers for a month or more prior.

But, it is raining again and now my weather app says we are under a flood warning until 4am and a flash flood warning until 4:45 am. My town didn't get near what the app says other places have gotten overnight though, at around 1/4" by my rain gauge. The puddle in the backyard is back, but it isn't near what it would be if it were actually flooding around here. But, my garage sure does stink since it does get water in it. At least the sump pump is working.

We also have flood warnings. I haven't looked yet, but I'm sure the Blackstone River is up to it's banks.

Got 3 boomers in a row. But did finally get to do a lil grilling for dinner.

Neat to be up on a hill with a view, Got to see all the nearby peeps blast their fireworks. Brodie wanted no part of that! He stayed in the a/c! :D
