What size is your truck? Mine is an f150, I've never attempted hauling a ton in it.
Just noticed, you have neighbors! None within sight here.

    F150 with the tow/trailer package.

Yes we have them and they are close. Too close sometimes. But a price you pay for living on/near the lake!!

Corn is in the basement. Paid 3.49/bushel, or about $125/ton. I have about 3300 lbs of corn and 5 tons of Somersets. Bring it on!

Is it already bagged? Know of any more? :) For that price? I would run strictly a corn diet in the Fahrenheit.

Negative. I borrowed a hopper wagon from my neighbor and bought it from the local grain elevator. They have plenty more if you're interested lol. It's a bit more work getting the corn in the basement. I have 7 55 gallon barrels, and had a system set up to funnel it through a basement window. It worked great for the first 4 barrels that were close to the wall, but the other three were too far from the window, and the flexible aluminum duct wasn't strong enough and kept breaking, spilling corn everywhere. Not to mention this massive storm was bearing down on me, and I really only wanted about 2800 lbs, but they overfilled the wagon at the elevator. Soooo...all 7 barrels are full, plus my garage trash can, a utility tote, a small tote, my 6 cubic foot wheel barrow, and my 10 cubic foot yard cart lol. Much of that had to be manually transported down the stairs after my funnel system failed.

Forgot to mention my appreciation to Mrs. Mithesaint for all of her help getting the corn under cover as the storm approached. I'm usually on my own for this stuff, as she's a city gal, but she was lugging buckets right beside me. She did great.

I ordered more brewing ingredients, an ir thermometer, and another set of ice creepers (for the stumble Bear that slips on the ice and goes boom). It all should be here on Saturday. Got to get the brew supply in for the heap big warmy hot that is coming. Working on mead at the moment and plan on doing a hard cider this fall.

What are you getting for creepers? I keep a bucket of sand/salt mix at the door and toss some out if there is any hint of ice.
My falling is way too often. Now have hand rails on both sides of the stairs. Stairs are where I fall with injuries. I now go very slow while on the stairs. , heck, everything I do now is slow going.

The parts for my furnace arrived from Fahrenheit today. I won't get to replacing them this weekend as I'll be up north, but might get around to at least removing the burn pot assembly early next week before I go out of town for work for a couple days.

Our tackle order was due in today. Replenish what we'd lost during the summer and a few new lures for the fall bite. My son and I were waiting outside for the UPS truck and I 'm pretty sure the driver saw this!!

    :ups:

    This weekend, We'll be :seasoned:
