Electric Splitter Ruined?

I was using my little electric splitter today and forgot to cover it when i left. Thundershower came through and it got rained on. Is it ruined?

No trick question. I didnt wanna try it while wet for fear of electrocution. Im not fond of electricity, better yet electrocution.

 

Dry the motor out before trying it out???

 

Yes! Let it fully dry first.
It’s probably just fine.

 

Splitter abuse!

 

I was caught in the rain leaving the store when it hit me that i forgot. Hoped the storm missed my place but as i got closer to home...nope!

 

I bet it will be fine. If you have a compressor or a leaf blower blow it best you can.

Set it in a fire and dry it out.

Yeah.. give a few days to dry out.. shouldn't be an issue.

 

Let it dry out and it will be fine! It's when you use it soaking wet that it will let out the magic smoke.

 

If you try it while it's wet, you can get a new hairstyle....

 

My hair is longer!

Facial hair is catching up, although it may be shaved any day now.

 

Well a couple days later and in the sun for several hours i gave it a try tonight.

I was SHOCKED...it worked!

Ya know.. you can put a keyboard in the dishwasher, just give things time to dry.. and it's all good.
