Just thought I’d throw this out there in case anyone is interested. Looks like foam rubber in the photo but the description claims differently.
nope. Not conducive to working with pallet pens and I have no intention of going back to hand stacking. Yeah that’s gonna be heavy. Not a bad thing. Would work good for folks with short stacks like cords of wood. (Like you) Wouldn’t want to wrestle any real lengths around. I cut my rubber roofing into 5x25 foots rolls and that’s heavy enough for me to get on a stack. I wrap it on a pole, toss it up and then unroll it using the pole. This stuff should weigh 6-8 times more than rubber roofing using my crappy math skills.
I would consider it if i had plenty of room to space out stacks. Im slowly evolving into that Ondura corrugated asphalt composition sheets. 6.5' x 3' ideal size, no sharp edges plus i get the damaged sheets for $5 helps!
if they work for you they work. Nothing wrong with that. They still make that stuff? Is it the same as first generation corrugated “tar roof”? We had that on a garage back in the day. Went with metal the second time around.
Nor sure. Never have installed any. Spotted it in the roofing area at Lowe's years back and got one in a cull pack a couple years ago. With my 6' wide stacks it works perfect at 6'6" wide. My other stacks have metal, tarps, plywood, and/or that foam rubber you gave me. A hodge podge but at least im getting them covered. One thing im not good at as much as i hate to admit.
I got some conveyor belting from work with the plan to use it for pathways in the garden. The problem was it got extremely slick, so I repurposed it to put down to stack wood on. Works well and while the bottom row still gets wet, it doesn’t get covered with dirt and the stack doesn’t sink into the ground. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Played musical top covering yesterday. Had three more sheets next door i swapped out with metal (to be used on shed build roof) Need another to finish off this row. 6'x18' stack length...three cords.
