Was wanting a longer bar for my SP125C to go with the 30" rollernose I bought in May 2013.Working a bunch of overtime the past several weeks (64 hours 2 weeks ago,56 last week & most likely another 66 this week ending next Sunday :loco:  :hair:).So I called Rich Dougan (Saw King,The Chainsaw Guy on You Tube) in Canyonville,OR last Saturday, they arrived on Wednesday 9/3. :saw: :D

Don't have anything big that needs cutting at the moment & I'm way too busy also. But that will likely change after winter arrives......;) :dex:

I did finally take time after getting home from work this afternoon to temporarily swap out the ''new'' bar & snap a few pics...(Since we all like to see pics,of course... )

Nice bar. I like the roller nose looks.:drunk:

What's with all the short work weeks?

I've averaged 72 hours a week for the year. Had a few 90 hour weeks and some 87 and 84.

I bet 64hrs at 1.5 pay made a nice check!

People say I'm nuts for putting in 100+ hr weeks. I'm not sure how to do less. When I had a 40hr a week job I worked another one on top of that since I had so much free time.

For those of us in the building trades its overtime (1.5 rate) after 8hrs,DT after 10 hrs, everything on Saturday is 1.5,everything on Sunday's or Holidays is DT rate.

Makes for some good paychecks but Uncle Sam sure loves it.:loco:  Working Sunday most of it goes to taxes, though I do get a large chunk of it back the following Jan-Feb after filing taxes.Prefer to have a little more in my pocket each week to do what I wish, when you get a fat refund every Spring - its YOUR MONEY,the gubmint uses it all year, you don't get any interest on that either.

I'm happiest with 45-50 hours, much more than that & it cuts into my sleeping,eating/drinking,time playing with the saws/working in the shop.....;):grizz::ups::cheers:

Mines the same way. I liked Canada's rules of Sat and Sun 2x plus after 10. We worked 6-12s all weeks but the first one and it was 7-12s.

Cool bar. I thought of you thistle when we watched a shoe yesterday on NatGeo called climbing redwoods. They were looking g for the tallest redwoods. They climbed them to measure them. She close to 400feet I think 397 was the record. I was looking g at the diameters on some of those!!! One parcel of land was old growth and protested so much as it was to be cut in 1990. It was private land and the state said they could not cut it in a lawsuit that paid the landowner $428 million!!!

Wish I got OT pay. I dont get it...we almost never get it as there its not in the budget but you dont get 1.5x anyway so the incentive is not as strong..

Anything over 48 hrs is doubletime for me :) Holidays are triple time (your holiday pay, plus doubletime for working it).

I wish our hours were a daily thing (vacation days will screw up a lot of O.T.). But in the end it all works out. A 65 hr work week has 8 hrs of O.T. and 17 hrs of doubletime :dex:

It adds up quick that way..

To stay on topic, Sweet bar!! :dex: I love the look of a good roller!

Are these all union jobs y'all are talking about getting these massive pay increases for OT?

No union. . Just a company that's treats others as they would like to be treated. :)

I guess your right! I like my time off. I just say that as I get almost zero OT approved and when I get OT pay its not even 1.5x its just several dollars more than regular pay.
