Seriously do a few stretching exercises before you start cutting wood, just like you’d warm up your saw!seriously, we ALL NEED TO DO THIS! Don’t ask how I know, just take a few min to stretch or, a few warm up exercises first, it might keep you from getting injured like I did this past week! Take your time, but warm up a little bit first thing!! Start out slow, you’ll still get your wood, it’s laying there waiting for you, be patient, it wouldn’t take it 10 min or so, but give it a try FIRST THING,

Sounds like very reasonable advice, that’s something that never crossed my mind

This is a great idea that we need to drill in our heads. Itssso hard to adopt a new helpful habit when I’ve been doing it without stretching for so long. Have to be intentional.

As I get older it seems like I need to warm up before I attempt anything.
Picked up a case of trigger finger from working in our deep freezer thawing it out for over 2 hours the friday of memorial day weekend.
Fingers hurt doing manipulation or just flexing them and I don't have time for this. All I did was hold the nozzle and swapped hands several times while hosing it down.
Did not think it would lead to an injury.

Trust me, you don’t want to be in the pain I’ve been in for the past week, not to mention the sleep loss I’ve experienced from the before mentioned sleep/pain. Your right “drill it into our heads,”in the long run,it’ll pay off! As we get older we will suffer more from dumb injuries!

We’d start work with a 30-minute stretch period when I worked for MN DOT. After lunch we were expected to do it again on our own after eating
