First day of summer. Longest daylight of the year.

Favorite day of summer...because it means the days are going to start getting shorter (daylight), and fall/hunting season are coming.

It also means the couple months I can actually see a sunrise will start moving again and will be on the side of the house without windows.

We've had rain all week. Didn't even notice the long day. I like the long days, though, gives me a chance to do things after 12 hr shift.

I'm ready for winter. I do not like summer. I'm old and can't take the heat any more. Winter means no grass to mow, no bees, no snakes and not much sweating.

We keep it 66 degrees in the house year round. Wife is going through menopause so she likes it cooler than I do. I used to keep it 68, now it's 66 and 2 fans running.

Just this morning, 99 lbs was saying "I think I actually like winter better. Not too hot for temps, no bugs, dogs seem to enjoy it more also!"

When I was younger, I used to live for this sort of weather. It seemed the hotter, the better! But, old age takes it's toll on the body and I do not enjoy it any longer.

You would not be comfortable in my house and I would not be comfortable in yours. I like 66 degrees but not in the house.
