Im in the store today in the dairy section waiting patiently to get a gallon of milk. A woman with a cell phone tucked between her ear and shoulder yacking away while texting with ANOTHER phone? WTH!:picard:
I wanted to :heidi:her. I dont have a problem with folks using them while shopping but no excuse to be rude. And drivers using them while driving...dont get me started.

LOL!!! I waited till she walked away but was just floored she had TWO phones and using them at once!

Of course Walmart is always an adventure, cell phone users or not!

Ohio just made it a primary offense now, which means they can pull you over and ticket you just for using the phone...up to $500 and 90 days license suspension. (hands free devices are ok)

I have 2 cell phones, a personal one and one for work. I would bet dollars to donuts that her texting was for work and the one to her ear was personal. I know in manufacturing, when you have a work phone, the boss expects you to be available all the time in some form. And if you are the boss, that goes double (because their director expects them to be available, as well as if their employees have issues).

Hey BRAD be careful , the fine for using a flip phone is double if caught driving while using it.

Coworker just got a ticket last week for being on the phone , first time offense was $200

I'm one of those stuck w/ 2, work and personal. It's not fun but required. Promise I'm not the type to do that kind of stuff though.
And I could only wish they'd crack down on phone usage while driving more.

I work in a high school. Parent comes in looking for administration because they have an issue. They want to talk to them NOW. You have to text to find administration. While they are waiting (not patiently), they are texting their child in the classroom and getting annoyed even more when the child doesn't answer. Duh! no cell phones to used by students in the classroom.
There is no patience anymore. Instant gratification of request of information or your attention when not met is treated with rudeness and belligerence.

I drove a lot for so long before I got a cell phone I've never been able figure it out. I had a couple phones a long time a go with a button to answer a call that I would rarely, even then I would pull off on an off ramp or into a parking lot, but now with smart phones it's a nope.

And buZZsaw BRAD , I happen to be a wally world yesterday, I kept crossing paths with a woman who was talking and turning around to respond to her, she was wearing earbuds talking on her phone, got me in like 3 different aisles lol.

All you have to do is sit in any parking lot and watch how many peeps who cannot walk 20' unless they have their faces buried in their phones. I have seen them trip over curbs, walk smack into sign posts and light standards and right into the side of moving vehicles. SMART PHONE ZOMBIE"S are taking over the world  :rofl:

Try driving in/near a college campus, it's unreal, so many never look up, I've sat through 2 light cycles before, they get the walk sign and a group crosses, but all the kids behind them never look up and just keep following the first group though the walk light is long gone.

Isn’t it crazy how stuff our parents & culture would have NEVER tolerated a decade or two ago are now so common place in society.

I can just imagine what one of the adults in my life ( parents, grandparents,Aunts, Uncles, etc.)growing up would have done to me if I ever ignored someone because I was looking at a cellphone. :faint:
