Just common rot? Inside split of red oak......the wood was beginning to get punky. I had two rounds that had this stuff inside of it.

White rot fungus? Any dangers to it?

white rot fungus, I never paid any mind to it. split it stack it. It usually dries out and that is the end of it. But I've seen it spread on wood that does not dry out.

Ive seen it before in oak IIRC. I wouldnt worry. Split, stack and burn it. If extensive split it out.

I have seen that before. I have also seen something similar
In hickory I associated with a sap pocket with rot.
What was really weird was a red or black oak that had some bright red florescent fungus inside it.

I’ve seen that too, on red oak. I paid it no mind and went about my business of hoarding every piece I could.

I get a ton of oak and have seen it. Never thought twice. You will be just fine. It will die off as it dries

Dangerous stuff. Needs prolonged oxygen and ultraviolet light exposure then extreme heat treatment!
