We have a Grand Cherokee, it's a 2018. Non mudder, lol.

Someday I'd like to have a "real" jeep and never have the doors or top on. I must admit I laugh when I see Rubicons, etc... that are all customed out and you know they never leave the pavement.

Yours are looking great Mykidsdadd! U:thumbs: Using them the right way. what years are they?

yeah I know what you mean ! I have always had jeeps since I was a youngin , never had one I was scared to get to get dirty though. I take really good care of them mechanically so I can drive them like they are meant to be driven. I am blessed to have a pickup to drive daily so the jeeps are kind of like toys I guess.
The wrangler is a 2013 Sport , the Cherokee is a 2001 and the little samurai is an 87. Wish I had the 4.0 straight 6 from the Cherokee in the wrangler tho , best engine ever ! My last one was a 2006 2 door unlimited rubicon, apparently though can name your price if you have one today. Regret selling it in 2014.

Oh yeah! Then they turn their noses up to a kid who pulls up along in a jacked up, doorless, dinged up, and muddy late model.

Over the years I've had 5 CJ7s, 1 YJ, 3 XJs, 5 TJs, 2 JKs, and 1 JL. 4 of the TJs, 1 of the JKs and the JL were Rubis. Keeping it simple with my '04 Rubi these days.

I had to go back to a TJ. The newer JKs and JLs obviously ride much better, but the 4-door Jeeps are the size of a truck. For a Jeep, I much prefer the smaller bodied TJs and CJs. What I would really like to find is a decent J10 or J20 Jeep pickup. Would make a great firewood truck.

We've had a few other the years. I traded/ sold my 93 ZJ limited Grand Cherokee when I bought my Audi allroad. Part of the cash for clunkers deal. 4500 for that used up jeep with 200 k on it was worth it. It was a 92 built/ 93 model 4.0 I6, and the great aw4 tranny. It was the oldest Grand Cherokee out there for a long time, only one jeeper had an older one, but his was totalled in an accident several years before mine was done. It was literally one of the first off the line in 92. It had the all time 4wd quadrafire drive I think it was, with the viscous coupler in the transfer Case. It was dark green with the gold accents and I had it lifted a little with Golden Eagle rims and bigger BFG's on it and swapped a Ford 8.8 rear end into it after the Dana it had originally ate the pinion gear and was a fwd jeep for a month or 3.

Some days I miss Sherman, the go anywhere tank.

That's kinda surprising to read...I have a coworker that has one from the mid 90's (IIRC) and has lots of issues with it...he said the only thing good about it is that whatever is ailing it today, its easy to get online and find the cure because the jeep forums are full of people that already BTDT.
But I dunno, never had one.

4.0 straight 6 is purdy darn reliable IME. Only issue I've ever seen or had friends have is the headers cracking and misc cooling issues. The radiators are a know issue where the metal meets plastic.

This is when we first bought it. Only had a 2" budget lift. Spacers on the springs.

My wife joined the Jeep cult about 3 years ago...I refuse to wave when I'm stuck driving it.

There is a well known fireman in our town that drives a Jeep, he has "I don't wave" real big across the top of the windshield.
