Especially if there was some reusable nails in it he could straighten out.

Oh yes. It's a thing. My dad would make us remove them, straighten them and he'd save them. We through away buckets full when we cleaned out his buildings after he passed.

Oh I know what they are...reused a few myself...won't spend much time straightening one out though...it better be pretty decent to start with. I've built a few small projects with used nails.
If I had buckets of them around, it'd be for scrap metal though.

    Wacky isn't it.
We had a small GTG here in Ct. a few weeks back and even though things got screwed up because of weather and a date change it was a blast. ( thanks JO191145 for hosting )
Guess thats what makes this place what it is.
Maybe I will see you next year there.

My dad did some thing. I asked him why when I got older his response
1 kept ya busy and out of way
2 if you can pound a crooked nail out backwards. Putting a straight new one in should be easy
    3 tires are expensive
4 cause I said to do it

All that glitter came from my Husky 357 that's sitting there by my side keeping the Stihls in line...

Not sure if the Stihls will throw glitter far enough to get up on my shoulders... LOL At least not if they aren't wearing square filed chain! LOL

All in fun, my other saws are Stihls...

That's no bull. Monte handed me that saw and if it were any other, I would have passed as I didn't have all the ppe and I was helping split. BUT... a 357 is a thing to behold. Probably the perfect firewood saw.
The extra reach on that longer bar was great Monte. I've only ran 20's but you have me wanting to try one.

In all fairness, Mike handed me his MasterMind ported top handle Still. Boy that thing just rips through the smaller stuff. Light as a feather I thought, then T.Jeff handed me his top handle Echo! Holy crap that thing is light. And felt excellently balanced. His XS ported 50cc was a treat too. I was taken back at how light both Echos were. Fun times... :dex:
