They're still saying just over half an inch coming in later, I finally put the rain gauge out this morning so we'll see how much we get. I did a full cleaning of the grill in the garage and then took it out too fire it up, it's ready for some Chicken cooked with indirect heat for about 45 to 50 minutes, Bone-In Chicken Breast.

We were dry all of May; we need the slow steady rain.. slows outside projects.. So projects .. not on ice, not in heat, rain or 30 below that leaves about 12 days a year Better work in rain
That will change soon enough, once July hits we'll be only three months away from when we usually start burning for the new heating season.
I better start c/s/s more pine! We should be in the mid to high 40's tonight, I'll have another fire since we put more firewood in the last time we had one.
Naw, I just live in a very high dry and windy place in a cement brick house, acts like a heat sink. I heard weather in NE is pretty decent. Incidentally we're going back to a wood stove and retiring our pellet furnace this fall so we'll be 100% wood again.
Except for a early week of hot temps, it has been dry and cooler but that's just fine with me. The longer we can go without the a/c, the better. We only burn between 50 to 70 bags of pellets per year, this will be the first year we haven't bought a ton, we plan on burning what's left. Hopefully the prices go down but usually that doesn't happen.
We are 400-600 bags a year, need to get away from the dust from 1 ton cleanings and hauling the 40# bags.
I think the most we burned before we had the woodlot was just over 300, I can't believe that every bag was brought down the stairs on my shoulder.
This is why I can back a truck up to 3 levels of my house.. as I age carrying thing up stairs sucks..
Back when we burned that many bags of pellets, I never had a good way to plow out the area we put the pellets and wood in today. We never had the changing weather in the winter, cold, snow and rain these days and with the plow on the tractor or RTV, it's much easier to plow so we can put everything in easier today.
