Well as of about 10 this morning I no longer drive an accent. They gave me 200 bucks for her. I kind of feel sorry for ripping them off....

I have no idea why there is a head banging smiley in there. I thought I put a handshaking one in.

Another, slightly bigger load today. And they told me to come over for another tomorrow. Okay !:)

Not good. Worse pulling fresh cut trailer of firewood. But I love it!

Yes, they're pretty thirsty things. Is she a 6.0?

Yes. Nice power. I don’t drive a lot of miles. Fortunately, I’m very close to work. So the gas mileage doesn’t hurt too much. We try to drive the wife’s CRV as much as we can.

That is one advantage of being close to work. I do like CR-Vs.

Scrap is more than that. Don’t worry they are still making more money off you.

Oh, even if not, I'm sure they made a good few dollars selling me the truck. But if I sold her to a tow company for scrap, I'd probably get maybe 60 bucks since she's missing a cat. Of course the tow company is also spending fuel in a 5 ton truck to pick the car up.

Dealers have places that buy that stuff. Trust me they get more than 200 out of it and doesn’t cost them a penny. Add that to the 3000 minimum you already paid them profit.

I'm mostly kidding, but I had that car well used up. I told them she's not detailed, because I was afraid if I washed her she'd disintegrate before my eyes.
I paid the government 3,000 in profit too :picard:sales tax on the truck was more than the price of the car.

Today was the 51st day and the last of the weight loss chit, I lost 21.6 pounds with my final weight at 205.6 for a loss of 0.42352941 per day.

It's time I start the spaghetti sauce for tonight.

Once I let the sauce cook for an hour (it will get warmed up for another 30 minutes before we eat tonight) I did the dishes, dried them and put away.

It smelled so good that I had one sausage for lunch, dang that tasted good. It has been almost two months since I cooked sauce.

I like her. Gas mileage seems decent for what she is.

This was supper tonight after 51 days of eating lettuce, chicken with a few steaks thrown in but never any pasta that I can recall.

I had them cut fresh at a local store (been in business over 100 years) coming back from my old hometown, 1.5 inches thick. Every thing was very good.

Our "trip" to the L.P. was successful. High gas prices prevailed pretty much evenly throughout both the upper and lower peninsulas.

Traffic was light for us as we were heading in the opposing direction of the "weekenders"......worked out great that way!

Stopped in Mackinaw city for a bit of fudge ($18 a pound) and was severly disappointed! Our home made is much much better. :handshake: In all the decades of back and forth travel to the lower, this is the first time we've done that.

Thanks wildwest , that meal and a ice cream cone was worth a two pound gain..........but a darn good one. I did my 12 minutes on the treadmill this morning so hopefully it gets the ole body burning some of what I put on.

Next up on the grill is some chicken this week but before I do that, it will get cleaned.

It rained hard enough overnight that you could here it on the roof for about 10 minutes, before that it was more like a mist but we'll tale what mother nature gives us.

It sounds like you had a nice trip except for the fudge.

Finally getting some much needed rain here.

    A light soaking rain.

Hope it continues for a few more hours.
    All day would be good.
