Well, just look at that! I knew you had it in you. That truck is just what you need. You are always hauling stuff. Now you have something proper to do with. Trucks can be expensive to keep up, but their use is worth much more. Tires are an example of $$

Yes, but with the amount of mileage, including city mileage I was doing when I worked in town there was no feasible way I could have done it. I'd have been spending a fortune in gas alone and hardly have any money to work on my house or whatnot. This new position is such a blessing all around, I make more per hour and 5 extra hours a week, and I'm actually so happy to be there that many days I'm sorry to see 5 pm come. I have to laugh, now I only go to town once a week and the city driving bothers me more than when I was doing it 5 days a week.

Had 2 trees taken down last year. Finally had a friend with a splitter bring or over and we split up the maple.
We split, wife did some stacking.
6 x 7 x 5ft high or more when it gets stacked. 6 hours total.
Still have the other tree to do at some point in the future.
Some will go to a neighbor, the rest will be for the solo stove.
I are tired. Sit in my butt all say for work (software engineer).

Just had the dog out for his PM activities. I want to tell you it is cold and wet here 45F Feels more like April. Last week was so warm and sunny. Next 7 days are all predicted to be clouds, rain and cool. I feel sorry for those on vacation here. Normally, we have good weather in June but this this one got off on a rotten start. `

Congrats on the new (to you) wheels, and the new employment as well it seems.

Not to worry, that'll wear off like new vehicle smell.
    ;)

Glad to see things are well up your way.

Cooled off from a high of 90 to about 75 right now. Spent about 45 minutes outside splitting while the dogs were outside.

the 4-way worked alright on the rounds after they were busted down to quarters or smaller. I’ll weld on longer wings before winter hopefully. Need to get some cutting edge. Cousin says he’s got some out on the farm.

the weed trimmer worked like a charm today after putting the new carburetor on.

So, I have to say I'm impressed with the combi boiler. my propane tanks (two 100 gallon tanks) were at just over 30% when this was installed. I only run the boiler part enough to keep the FHW pipes in the garage from freezing, (so it only ran a couple of days this year, which is typical), and my hot water use hasn't changed.

Normally by now, the tanks would have gotten low enough that it would spark an automatic delivery. Usually they deliver once a year somewhere between March and early May (high propane cost months). I just looked yesterday and I still have 30%. Hopefully the magic number for automatic delivery appears during lower prices for propane.

    thanks!

    thanks!

Not as long as I remember where I came from. Which, with my memory, could be any day

    Thanks.

Thanks. 2014 ST with 88K miles. 5.7 6 speed. Comes inspected with any issues fixed and 2 year unlimited mileage warranty. Not sure I know anything else that the pictures don't show.

I had looked at a regular cab shortbox with a V6 and 8 speed, which probably would have been a bit easier on gas but I like this one better. I was hoping for a regular cab long box but can't have everything I guess. Not to get ahead of myself but maybe in a couple years I can get a 13th gen ford. I've wanted one since they came out.

I went from a 2012 ram 2500 diesel to a 2020 F150 XLT to a 2023 F150 XL with the Heavy duty payload package. Basically a “camper special” as they used to be called. I got with with the 5.0 v8 because I wanted flex fuel capability to run E85 ethanol. My 2020 had the 3.5 Ecoboost so flex fuel was not an option.

my 2023 actually has greater payload and tow capacity rating than the 2012 ram did. But I also had to sit down and special order it exactly how I wanted it. 2013 is when the payload/towing capacity wars started. So your 2014 might be slightly different.

    best move I made.

so if your considering moving to a ford, just food for thought.
