That's a lot of wood you got done Dave! Looks great too, nice neat stacks and splits... I'm thinking once it gets a little cooler, slow and steady will get the job done... Nice start to the fall gathering.....:)

I think I've asked before Dave but here it goes again. Are those tarps under your pallets?

    Landscape cloth.
I used several of the 8" landscape staples to hold it down & can mow right over the edge.
Real close to tarps but it lets water thru slow.

Yep. I prefer the smaller trailer, but it's still at my SIL's.
Weird seeing those empty pallets Dave.

His mom is lab/golden mix, but dad is purebred lab.
We have both of them too, along with a chocolate lab, and a weiner dog.

You won't be disappointed Pete. I've logged thousands of miles pulling various dif trailers/carts behind lawn tractors. You'll love it.

I've hauled many-a-tree out of the woods with my JD 318 and my grandpa's old wood trailer. Mostly because i dont have any better toys yet, but I like the maneuverability. I can get just about anywhere with it, without disturbing anything.

There's more than a couple times I wish I had some chains on her though, like papadave. Usually because i had too big of a load on the trailer. But so far I've been able to get-r-done with the $40 Reese hand winch I mounted to the trailer.

The tractor had a little 5/8th hole where I just put a 1 & 7/8th" ball. The splitter is that size, but the trailer is 2".
For the work I do with the big trailer, it's not an issue. I installed a ball type hitch thing on the little trailer (from TSC), and that only required 2-3 bolt holes to be drilled. Made hitching up that trailer a breeze.
I put the chains on for winter traction, because I got really tired of sliding all over the driveway when plowing. Turf tires suck when plowing.
    Not gooder.

Just to clarify, this is a garden tractor. A little beefier than an LT, although I'm sure an LT can do some of the same things.
This one and other GT type tractors can use equipment add-ons that would kill an LT.
What I'd really like is a CUT with an FEL and a bucket. Of course, then I'd probably want a small excavator and a bobcat too.
