Looks like some nice solid BTU's, nice sale. If I may ask, is this a new customer?

Yes and no. Yes for buying firewood. I did a chain saw job for him a few years ago. Their nephew's house is one of my storage areas for wood. He was over fixing his tractor and i asked if they still burn and he wanted to buy a cord. Elderly and cant make their own wood anymore.
Todays load unloaded into his trailer. All maple, mostly sugar. IMG_3222.JPG IMG_3223.JPG He restored tractors too. IMG_3224.JPG IMG_3225.JPG

Bradford pear from Edwin (Wood Doctor on OPE). He didn't think it would all fit in my truck, but I showed him. Also said we could split 50/50 but I feel it was his tree so I will only take the shorts and uglies. Taking it out to Lefty's today and may cut it to length as I unload it.

Unloaded pickup but didn't cut to length. Had to finish splitting the JimBear hedge so I had a place to put Edwin's wood. Loaded truck with 2/3 of the remaining hedge so I can put it down for a long nap here at the house. 20230521_150916.jpg

Grabbed a load of oak yesterday. I took a picture after loading but I guess it didn't take. Here is one after splitting a bunch off the truck. I had over a face cord on the trailer too.

I do it when I can because it saves a lot of extra work and time. When I'm hauling multiple loads home it just gets piled to be split later.

A coworker had some cherry trees that a utility crew cut down for power line clearance. Did I need it? No. Could I pass it up? Also no.

This is my first time getting cherry. It's supposed to be good stuff so it's a great addition to my stacks.

I cut 1 load Friday and 2 Saturday. This was 5 minutes from my parents house and my storage was almost full already, so I gave the 1st Saturday load to them.

I love woods that i seldom score. I get like a kid on Christmas. :loco:
Honey locust, black walnut and mulberry will do that to me. Hope it lives up to your expectations..
