Came home to this beast sittin in a box, many thanks to MasterMech on this one. Really looking forward to running this thing. Might have some time Saturday to head out and buck up a mulberry I've had down for almost two years in a cow pasture. I'm betting this thing will cut some time off my bucking compared to the 290 I was running. And for the record I am in no way calling MM a fairy. Lol

    Hey Randy,

That saw is actually an aftermarket top end, HyWay big bore kit. It's a good runner as is but have you played with that kit?

After a few cuts, you're gonna wonder how the hell you went so long without upgrading from that 290, good luck with the new toy.

Might have to do that to squeeze a little more juice out of the saw

I would be very curious how a massaging of that saw turns out. Remember Swags, that's not a stock 77cc MS460, you're packin' 82.5ccs there!

I have not used a Hyway BB kit. I'm not a fan of any BB kit though. They normally have wacked out timing numbers that really limit what I can do with them.

I was quite satisfied with the quality of the kit, although I didn't degree it out (a skill I'd like to dabble in one day) and compare it to OEM for timing numbers. I did notice some subtle differences in port sizes however when I assembled it.

Ran that thing for a bit today and WOW, talk about gettin off a scooter and firing up a Harley! Huge difference in the cutting from the farm boss to the 460.
