I had this Ave Maria Charlemagne ( Presidente) this afternoon, it was rather tasty. Apparently sitting for a year has helped them a lot.

Padron 1926 Series No. 35 Maduro, I got them in July of 22.

The burn was great, draw was great, it was a slow burner, plenty of chocolate flavor, a bit of pepper on the first few draws but backed off after that. These are considered the “bargain” level Padrons. I would like to try a natural & maduro back- back to see how much difference I could tell.

Having a special treat after a long work week. This one is an old fashioned plug just like what our forefathers would have purchased and smoked/chewed. I’ve had this one down in the cellar for almost 3 years now IMG_2963.jpeg

    IMG_2964.jpeg

the tin made that lovely pop can hiss characteristic of well aged tin tobacco.

This one is an English style blend that is savory, leathery, salty, and smokey like a good wood/charcoal bbq smoker. It also sports some nuttiness and slight notes if dark fruit for complexity. Think stewed plumbs or slightly fermented raisins. Yum!

I often enjoy plug pipe tobacco on a Friday afternoon. It’s an opportunity to reflect on the hard working independent individuals who made this country great. It reminds me to slow down and relax and enjoy the simple moments life provides.

Enjoyed in a made in the USA Missouri Meerschaum corn cob pipe.

I know this is a cigar thread hopefully my “piping” in isn’t annoying.

As far as I'm concerned, your "piping", is not annoying and I encourage more of it.

Also, fantastic rest of your post as well. I too have to remind myself to slow down and enjoy moments in life. Without getting into the weeds, I think it's something that is severely lacking nowadays.......along with appreciation for those before us.

Very thought provoking post Sir. :salute:

Not at all, carry on. That stuffs sounds tasty.

My wife wants me to get into pipes but I know how that will work; I won’t ever be able to find a pipe or have any tobacco because she won’t remember what she did with the pipes or they will be at her sisters house.

I've really been enjoying the Brazilian Maduro Herrera Esteli's. So, I figured I'd give a couple other blends of his a try. Habano, and Connecticut Broadleaf. The 8 cigar sampler has fantastic smokes for the extra 10 bucks.

I know you can probably relate, given your cigar store you have ;), but one vice is enough for me to keep up with financially. I go overboard with that enough, I don't need another to keep up with. Lol

Appreciate it fellas. To me taking some time to relax a bit is what the cigar and pipe smoking hobby is all about.

Had me a big Tabak on the way home today. Still like the Red Eyes the most out of the Tabaks, but they're all good.
