FarmerJ I can’t imagine 12” of rain overnight! We got 5” over two days a few weeks ago and that was a lot.

Wife’s mom all of a sudden has become interested in thinning out stuff. She’s only 82 and her dad passed in 2014 so I’m happy she is. She came up with wanting to sell a bunch today when we went to visit so I got photos of stuff. Some stuff she wanted way more than it’s worth. Others she wanted $20 for something worth $150. This one I got no idea. Photos are not great. I picked it up and brought it outside. Been in a wood shop IMG_0107.jpeg IMG_0108.jpeg for many years. This is from the 1940s pedal tractor and wagon all factory but her dad painted at one point. What you think it’s worth?

We talked with our son and daughter-in-law today and they said they got over 8 inches of rain since Thursday. They live by New Ulm. Last summer they couldn't buy rain.

the most I’ve ever seen in a 12 hour period was 18” overnight when we lived in Fargo ND. A couple of electric substation went under water and the storm sewers were inundated.

we had a generator from the flood after the winter of 96-97. I had three neighbors show up and wanted to plug in sump pumps. Never felt like such a heel telling them no. The generator was barely big enough for our own needs.

So I dug into this some. It’s made by ERTL and it’s a farmall 806. Made early 60s not 40s (dementia setting in pretty good with her). I’ve found them for $450 to $600 listed but don’t have the trailer with them. Original paint and not refinished so that adds value to them but still no trailer. I’m going to stop at an antique shop and show them the photos and see what they want to offer. The wife will also put it on farcebook.

8r 310 or 340? Those have not caught up in production at all yet. I’ve seen maybe 4 this year between 19 Deere dealers. Track models even more rare.

The creek from my daughter’s MIL. It’s about 20’ deep at the creek bed under the bridge. All the field work and seeding they did last week was pretty much washed away today.

Deere has been getting better in the last few months. One place has gone from 5500 units in November to 12,000 in April. 39 store dealer. Sales have slowed about the same time deere started producing. Those machines for the most part are sold when ordered, not many dealers just stock more than 1 at most.
