Good morning. Awaiting the sunrise. Was up early yesterday and played around on the farm most all day.
Couldn’t hold in to watch a playoff game and turned in early Naturally I awoke at 3am.

This means I will be taking a fat nap about 11:00! Oh well. I moved a few buckets of rounds by the splitter which is sitting in the bottom pasture

A couple friends of Mrs MikeInMa's will be visiting over lunch. I'm putting together a soup to have.

I hope to empty and remove the deck rack this morning. I'll leave my log dolly on the deck with some covered wood. I'm sure there'll be a cool raw day sometime in the next couple weeks.

Morning all. Summer has hit here for a couple of days. campinspecter headed out really early to get a load of firewood. Where he is going gets a lot warmer than here later in the day. It will be nap time when he gets home. I managed a couple of hours in the sewing room this morning so a project is almost completed. I had to put an alarm on so I would remember to get ready for work. It is hard to leave something for later.

Sourwood that is the beauty of retirement. Work when you want to, nap when you want to. I am looking forward to that again.

Morning all. Up early again this morning as campinspecter headed out for another load of firewood. Warmer this morning than yesterday. View from the living room window this morning after he left.


Backwoods Savage Sorry to hear about the funeral. No matter who you are, the funerals seem to be happening more often.

Last day of work this week. Getting busy with year end events and next year scheduling stuff.

Good afternoon, y'all. Hope y'all are having a FABULOUS FRIDAY. I'm back on 7AM-7PM shift for the weekend.
Hope to start cutting some oak rounds for the next shed, if it doesn't rain. We did get 1 load of oak, cleaned up from the house in town, and hauled to our veteran neighbor, we will help cut and split later. Got at least 1 more load to go Monday morning.

Good morning. We are eating a lot of asparagus, have cut rhubarb seed stalks, and the strawberry plants are starting to set their flowers now. Spring has sprung!

Morning all. Day is dawning sunny and clear. It is going to be warm the next couple of days. Was able to sleep in a bit this morning.

As we look around us at the beauty of this world and we realize that it is still marred by the ravages of sin, Revelation 22 gives us some insight on what heaven will be like. Two things in heaven really stand out. The River of Life and the Tree of Life. The leaves are for the healing of the people and plenty of water for our thirst. Being able to meet with God and Jesus anytime and talk to them face to face is another wonder. Our Creator, Redeemer and Saviour!

The angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. Revelation 22:1

Went to check out a mini bobcat this morning.... probably going to pass, cause it's just too dinky. for our operation.....

Tom and I are on our road to go pick up a trailer load of 55 gallon plastic barrels for water storage....$10 each for food grade barrels ain't bad at all.


Yesterday we turned this pile of 50 logs into cants in two hours....
