Off to a great start Brad. That's going to be one sweet storage area. IME no matter how big you make it, you'll still be one bay short
You got that right. Ill be scrounging to fill the other side the next few months. Are you still planning the addition to yours?
Absolutely, next year. I already have some corrugated plastic roof panels. Just have to keep my eye out for a couple good cedar poles, some material to use for rafters and a ledger board.
I know a guy. I may have a shed demo coming up. Kinda sad too. 40 years old that was built on grade. 25' long with extended back...kinda a salt box effect. Ill save all the rafters.
Had some time to work on this today. Cut out the stump for the 6x6 i had. Need a couple more 8' 2x8/2x10 for the end. Killed my beater chain on the stump. Hit a hidden rock. Couldnt install this "banana board" 2x10. (doubling up the front and back) Once we get a good rain, it will unwarp. Set a few more floor boards and started stacking. Wood is 5' high and each row will be 10' long so half cord. Knowing me ill stack higher yet. 6'6" height inside. Sun killed me today. Didnt have enough water with me and feeling it tonight. (cramps)
Cull lumber from Lowe's. On a rack outside with no price. I asked and thats what i was quoted. Been hanging around here for a couple years and its finally getting used.
You will have that one done long before I get mine completed! How much overhang are you going with???
It will be 8.5' x 20' footprint. I was tinkering with a 12' 2x4 rafter today figuring slope. It will match the fascia plane in front so about a foot at the high point. The back could be 2' if i go with the full 12' length. I kinda smile at the 2' as i could squish another row in back. Have to check head clearance too. I have enough metal for about 2/3 of the roof. Assorted colors and some is for siding but going on the roof.
Yep, I call it the Calico shed. It's brown and green.... With blus screws... All the same color inside the shed...
