I was going through a cabinet with a bunch of chains I have and actually have one of their chains that the dealer gave me when he was having a hard time getting the Stihl RS chains , it will fit my 261.
Have not tried it yet but it looks comparable to others.

I have not used any x cut chain yet. I have been using stihl and oregon. The oregon was either bought out of desperation or came with a saw. It does not stay sharp as long as stihl chain and does not grind as well either. Stihl must use gold rivets because their chains are very expensive. I would like to try the x cut and see how it holds up.

Just called a dealer to ask about x cut. $35/loop for .325x72dl. Crazy. And it's back ordered. And it's an hour drive.....

They've been making it for a while now. From feedback I've read it's pretty good stuff too. I hoarded a bunch of Oregon so I don't have a need to buy more.

$25.20 on Amazon if it helps.

I picked up 2 rolls of 3/8 .050 and a roll of .325 .050 a couple of years ago for $300 each. Have a friend that makes em up for me in exchange for getting a few for himself. Seems to work well for me and it would be hard to beat the price.

The x cut chain has been out for a few years now. It's got a unique top plate profile and is the best cutting, out of the box chain I've ever ran, and I've tried many brands of chain. But, after you sharpen it a couple of times it just becomes like any other chain profile wise. Honestly, I haven't noticed that it stays sharp any longer or cuts any better than Oregon, Stihl or Forester chain once that original profile is gone. I've found that the cheapest place to buy it is on eBay thru a vendor named "lawnmowerpartsworld". He offers a discount if you buy multiple loops and actually let's you make an offer, although his wiggle room price wise seems to be pretty small. It's good chain evidently made in house by Husqvarna. On a side note, several members over on another site have been impressed with the value of Hipa brand chain. Chinese made but no one has said that it flat out sucks. And it's dirt cheap, I mean like $8.00 a loop for 24" chain. I'll probably try some just because of the price and hope for the best.

Had difficulty with the chrome plating on the couple I tried. They cut ok, but I had a devil of a time trying to resharpen them. Depth guages killed off one of my flat files. I'm going to try to run down a bunch of older chains in the next couple years that still have lots of life left. Dunno what I will try to replace lpg with yet. Bought several Makita branded Oregon made chains last fall that are still in their boxes. I am in need of additional 24" loops. Only just adopted the size for regular use so I don't have decades worth of old stuff to fall back on. I think I only have 3 loops in 84dl right now and I have two saws with 24 bars.

There are a lot of old USA branded files that are today made in China, and their quality is not great.

Care to give a few examples so we all know what to stay away from?

Home Depot and Lowe’s are places to avoid order from Stihl their files or look for real Swiss files online. Test files agains a. Quality chisel or punch.
