Hauling a lawn mower or other light weight stuff. Not really designed for hauling wood. But like others said, if the Subaru towing capacity matches this trailer's GVWR then it would serve your needs for now.

Then I'd hold off till you find a decent 2000lb rated trailer.

Id buy it. You will get that money back. Its a small trailer and only city people or lawnmower haulers want something that small...really tiny. But deal is still good.

You can probably man handle it of your back is ok. I would grab it cause you can leave it loaded for weeks as guido says. I have left my 4x8 loaded many times. But 4x8 is about as small as I would want. I really want a 5x10 instead of the small one. I have a dove tail car hauler bit at 7x16 or whatever is a bit big for quick hauls

You will use out when you buy a new fridge or buy some lumber or have oily messy stuff to haul.

Some part of me thinks this is the harbor freight trailer will a side and tailgate kit added. Its a good trailer and this one is better than they come from the store!!

I would buy this one to haul for with right now as you look for a larger o e as brian says. Bit if your getting scores around your neighborhood I would load it till the wheels were about to bust just drive slow. I did not tell you to do that , just what I would do ;)

Hey, that's okay, I'm a city person. I actually prefer small scrounges. There are tons of trees in my neighborhood, and very few burners, so it's easy to find wood. I don't have to drive far, so I typically bring home a car load at a time, hand-split it immediately and have it in the racks within a couple of hours. If opportunities were fewer and farther between, I can see wanting a big trailer to make the most of them.

It's additional space that you can't fit in your car. I'd still grab it. Especially considering that it's almost the perfect fit for your Subaru
Put 1,000 lbs in the car, and a 1,000 in the trailer. Most are under rated anyways.

Trailers are very handy. You'll find you have many more uses for it once you get it. And the price can't be beat.. Plus, once you have a trailer and/or a truck? You find out all your friends need you to help them move   Seriously. .

I have had much more than a ton (2,750 lbs I think is what its rated for or 2,200 lbs after trailer weight is deducted) on my little 6 x 10 trailer. Probably closer to 2.5 ton. :) o_O

That just looks too bulky for my tastes.. You've got to be able to find a lowes/home depot/TSC special that someone is trying to get rid of.. Of course as others have pointed out, the utility of them makes people want to keep 'em... Here's what Lowes is currently listing for a 4'x6' trailer. 2k GVW with a 1650 lbs capacity.. That's a light trailer.. And there is definite utility in having a ramp...

I know your a city person Jon. Thats why this would be perfect for you. I did no mean that in a bad way.

But those with more space can have a bigger trailer and have more room to stack wood as well.

Heck I have moved up to getting scores in a dump truck when possible!

Don't worry, no offense taken. I just thought it was funny. I appreciate everyone's thoughts here.

There are a couple of those near me on CL too, but none that are good deals. I'm in no hurry, but it seems that the ramp would eliminate any chance of standing it up for storage.

Sad thing is, my neighbors across the street have a 4x8 trailer that I could use, if only it weren't buried in boxes of random household stuff. They're just using it as a storage platform, but I like them too much to bug them about clearing it off for me.

I don't know what I would do without my trailer.
I had a small trailer I stood on end in the pole barn
Loading and unloading a trailer is much easier and faster than stuffing wood in a station wagon.
Most people are not looking for a small trailer but that would fit your needs and it's a good deal.
You already have a hitch, the trailer is all set ready to load wood, I would grab it.
And like said , You'll find you have many more uses for it once you get it

For the price, you can't get hurt. Grab it, try it. If it's not for you, sell it.

No harm in standing it up on the back gate. Just try to get it up off the ground a bit to combat rust.

Buy it. I dont think you can buy a trailer to pull behind a lawn tractor for that money. Or even a wheelbarrow.

Like everyone else said, having a trailer is nice. Saws go in the bed of the truck and wood goes in the trailer. My trailer will carry many times what the truck bed will carry and nothing is overloaded. Plus I don't have to clean out the bed of my truck afterwords.
