BL will make for some nice fires for someone, you must have a chit load of orders. Between pine and some hardwood I moved from one area to another I've stacked 12 face cord this spring. I should have another four face cord of hardwood from damaged trees that are down already so I'll be busy.

That has helped me with my weight loss along with changing what I'm eating and not snacking at night, soon I"ll have dropped 10 pounds, once I hit that I might go for another 8 or 10.

Not this year but next year if you have one. We have a few things going on this spring/summer, one close to the 20th. Is everyone this year bringing a tent or staying in hotels or both? I will keep that date open for next year.

First time for this Connecticut GTG. Some of us have talked about it and finally got it going. One day only, but open for overnighters to stay at his place to camp night before or after. Not sure about next year. Here's the thread

Two dead pine will be felled tomorrow and I had was thinking about taking this down, I'll take a closer look tomorrow after the two pine are down.

The tree in the picture is part of opening up that trail so I can clean that area up.

Two more dead standing pine are on the schedule, I'm hoping these will be my last two for a few months.

The first two pictures are of the same tree and the last two pictures are of the second tree.

We had planned on felling two dead pine but after the first one was down, I decided it would get cut and split.

We used a tree saver with a d shackle along with a cable, just wanted to make sure it came through the other pines.

I will fell one more dead pine for a total of 14 this spring. The first three were small and not that good so once the burn ban is off and it gets wet again, we'll get rid of the rounds in the outside fireplace.

I stacked just under two face cord of pine today ( I shortened the stack because of the pine tree) I'm estimating but I think we still have over a face cord left from the four or five piles we have in the woods.

Four more face cord of pine will get stacked after some cutting and splitting is done.

The pile of pine (on the ground to the right) I used for holding down the covers will be moved, some will be used for tops again and some will be used in the outdoor fireplace.

I had 2 weak batteries I had to recharge. Along with some raking.....not too much, don't want to re-aggravate anything.

Maybe tomorrow will be the dock and chimney (s).

It usually means a warmer winter is around the corner, we'll see what they look like in a few months. This is the earliest I've seen one.

The more black that is on the woolly bear usually means a cold azz winter is coming.

I was on my way to finishing another two face cord stack of pine but we had someone stop by and then received a text about 4:30 p.m. that everything was ready so I picked that up.

With the popple I have stacked on a pallet for almost a year and two more smaller piles of pine, this should be finished giving us ten face cord up, two more and I'm moving on to hardwood.

I finished the two face stack today, I grabbed some popple/poplar from a stack in the woods and another load of pine that finished it, two more and that's it for softwood.

The old tires on the trailer had been weather checked for about four years, I did get by with tubes until one went and formed a hole in it so we have new tires put on.

I did do some cutting today so I could open back up a walking trail the wife uses and called it a day until around 6 tonight when I washed the truck.

I started on a pile of pine logs today, they're from the clearing we did for the new garage in 2018. Most will make it in the stacks for burning in the wood stove and some will go in the outside fireplace.

I did some splitting and stacking of the pine I bucked up, a little over a face cord. My plan is to have this stack done by the end of the week and then it's off to some hardwood.

I took the boss for a ride today around the property, we had a cherry branch split off of the tree (1st two pictures) and once we came home I started s/s some of the maple I cut three or four weeks ago.

In the second picture you can see the spot the cherry broke off.

Another day at the pine pile, 3711 is what I started with and the last wo pictures are the rounds I bucked up today and what's left.

Once I s/s this, our softwood area will be full, 12 face cord. I ended up coming back to the house when the winds picked up and some dead pine branches were coming down.
