Ok I have searched 3 ways from Sunday Which member spits with a conveyor to a pallet built Unstacked covered holding bunk
Finally got to head down to the wood project. Lost a day due to taking dad to the hospital. Did I mention stay hydrated. tonight I was able to at least get the solar system situated for a week long test run. The hope is other than air conditioning, we won’t need to use the generator at all for the camper. We’ll be able to keep food in the fridge and freezer this way. this is just for testing the waters and make sure I’m not going to create a solar powered bomb for when we build the house. I’ve got this battery and a second 160 minute reserve group 27 deep cycle. Should give us close to 130ish amp hours if the conversion is right. 160reserve capacity (x2) = 320 / 60 = 5.33 x 25 = 133 ah. the thermoking 1800W inverter should give me enough 110V power for using the microwave for making supper glow. starting with two 100 w harbor freight panels and their 500W charge controller. I can add two more panels to the 400w combiner. Truck did a stellar job getting the skid steer and the gear down here for cutting. Brought the drone with too so maybe I’ll get some videos over the next couple days.
Thanks jo do you have close up or dimensions how corners hold up. And how does wood dry.. why does this not have a thread
It does...a couple IIRC. Pallet pen A little headway Another one bites the dust. Round two Any ideas?
Dimensions are whatever you want them to be First one was about seven feet wide. Second two are Eight. All six feet high to match the pallet heights. I have enough horizontal pallets now I can leave the six footers out. Next one will about seven feet high. Everything’s holding well as far as the pen. Originally used #8 deck screws. A few of them sheared after days/weeks but everything stayed put anyway. Moved up to #9 screws. None have sheared yet. Have some even heavier screws, havent tried them yet. So bottom line, the screws seem to be the weak point. Tarp roof is another story. First ones still on there. Second one blew off in a storm. Tore the eyelets out of it. I like the floating roof systEm buT not sure if it will work. Toying with the idea of waiting until Aug/Sept when we have a long dry spell and just covering the wood without air space. I’d rather have the air but not sure if it’s worth the trouble. I’ll try one of each, see if I can do better.
Work has finally settled down. I got deployed to a dumpster fire of a building for 8 weeks fixing really basic stuff, driving 1.5 hours each way every day. That sucked. I don't know how people do that every day. At least it was through the country and no traffic. Got the yard pretty much whipped back into shape, seed planted, and the last of the white rock spread out. Starting to look less trashy after all the projects. Been really cool and dry spring so far. Grass looks great but really isn't growing all that fast...I like it.
even away from the big rivers, there is major flooding. The brooks and small streams just can't handle the volume. More rain is anticipated.
Where’s that Larry? I was in Waterville yesterday and the kennebec is flowing hard. Lots of the bigger streams here are full but nothings flooded. Nothing more than usual here. I know you got more rain than us, our daughter is in Biddeford and she said it poured all day there. We just got a couple sprinkles. Way up in the crown got sunshine and barely any water.
