The coworker who used to keep my chains sharpened, third generation small engines shop, was an Echo dealer and swore by them.

I went to buy a 362 around 2016 and my dealer said to save $300 and get a 590. I've been an echo guy since. 355t, 4910, and 590 never had a problem with any of them.

Asked the Mrs if she would pick up a saw for me.
    She said sure!
Said it was in CT and the "sure" fizzled away.

All I see is some clown with no PPE on at all and like I've said before, the difference between any saw lies in the sharpness of the loop. One reason I grind mine at 30 degrees instead of 27.

Posts like this are what I would associate with a clown. The only thing I agree with is the sharpness/tune of the chain making a difference, and it makes a huge difference.
I thought it was a nice video of side-by-side comparison.

All it takes is one time and you'll wish you had at least chaps on. Been there, did that and have the scars to prove it. Saw chains love to gobble up flesh...

keep the bar away from your legs and you should be fine. I try to keep my legs out of the plane of the bar/chain.

I support all chainsaw lovers. Even if they are slightly misguided :salute:

He’s from one of those former Soviet nations. His saw collection is unreal. The greasy sweats are a trademark that have been commented on endlessly.

Caught a steel toe one time. Played hell on the chain but no meat was lost. Makes you rethink things when that happens.

Way back when, when I owned and operated a tree service business in northern Ohio, I was bucking a trunk with the 075 and stopped to rest for a second and propped the saw up on my bent leg and forget the chain took a bit of time to stop. No chain brake on the 75 or the 90. That netted me a trip to the ER and 40 stitches on my leg, just above the knee and to this day I have a nice scar from it. If I had been wearing saw chaps, that would have never happened. Sharp 404 makes a nice cut in flesh and it bleeds profusely too. Filled my sock on the way to the hospital.

All it takes is a second of stupidity and then a lifetime of looking at the scar...
