Fire yesterday morning. Wasn't a total wash out but close. Today is a complete wash out. Currently pouring. Even the dogs looked miserable when they were out.
Weather folks just said Hanover (which is 1/2 hour away) got 2.6" so far. My yard has 2 ponds in it currently and the most rain is supposed to come this evening. Maybe an additional 1.5-2".
With so much rain lately, and around six+ cords waiting to be split (among other things that need to be done outside), I was thinking about your original post and the canopy you set up over the splitter. Hadn't thought of that before (since I don't have a canopy) but I like the idea and am going to look into getting one. Multiple uses for it so it'll be a good investment.
We had it for when our kids played sports. Small town ball fields don't have shade and to sit and watch their games, a lot of parents get these easy-ups as they're called. It's in very rough shape at this point so this is a final use for it and it serves that purpose well.
Just got back in... Split two totes and stacked one of them this morning... I ended up having to use safety glasses due to all the flying debris... winds around 20 mph...
I just bought a canopy for the smokers at the GTG, with the call for rain... I previously had HF's light version, it did decent for probably 6 or 7 years... But I bought the heavy duty one and really liked how much better it was made than the prior one...
Yes. I was quite impressed... Especially with the water drain holes it had, plus it actually shedded water pretty decent without puddling up...
Had the time this evening to finish the third row. Still have more to split but at least it looks better when I look out the kitchen window.
Great stack LP. Only times I get to look at my long stack is when I mow and when I pull into the driveway from the west. Out the kitchen window would be . I put the pics in the what’s up thread but I did get it top covered the other day. Didn’t think I had enough rubber but I cut a large piece in 1/2. Ended up not quite as wide as I wanted but as one piece it was just too heavy and awkward to throw around. Fresh splits are still throwing off a great aroma when you get close.
