Heck, I get a knot below 3k. I haven't had an air pressure line blow where its whipping all over yet, but have had some exciting times with hydraulics.

they gave me what's possibly a hundred foot hose that they would use to connect the compressor to a cascade system on a truck. When they told me what they used it for i was in the WTF are you thinking mindset. Honestly I think it would be a very interesting thing to see, a hundred foot hose whipping around at 6k.
I cascade my small argon bottles with a 3' hose at 2400 and I still put my leather coat over the hose. Figured it would help to give the hose something to chew on before it got me.
I have hose reels up by the ceiling with about 10' of hose hanging down at 145-175 psi. Once during the night the qd blew out of the hose end. It trashed the lights and cut through a 12/4 so cable shredding itself to bits.

I never heard of the rattler.
hatsans are known for being a bit rough around the edges. Lots own them though so don't be shy. The .30 auto looks fun though.
The issue with mags is you kind of get constrained to the pellets that will fit.
That may or may not be a bad thing. it's individual preference and what the rifle likes shooting.

    Ok...

Here is my update on the Air Venturi, Seneca Dragonfly, mrk2 air rifle. As a refresher, this is a 15 pump, 22 caliber unit. And like the claim, 1-15 pumps feel the same. The pumps have been measured in official reviews and range 15-16 pounds each. These are my 25 yard results in calm conditions this morning. Perfect for the majority of my back yard pest control but I'll definitely be buying several brands and weights as well as slugs to try because Id like it to be useful out to 50. With these pellets it leaves a bit to be desired at that range. I may be asking to much of this rig but I've seen others have good results at 50 with it but different pellets than these. Anyway, this is 3 shots with the pictured pellets. Scope was set at 5 power. So far I'm happy with it for its intended purpose. You wouldn't want to set down and try and target shoot with it for extended periods as it gets to be a workout lol. Raising the heart rate pumping away feverishly doesn't help accuracy anyway.

Nice! With my arthritis pumping up a gun leaves me sore and shaking to much to group that tight.

Thanks bud. I'm a bit rusty currently.
I'm confident I can do better with my regular adjustable rest, rear sand bag and a better scope. And more practice of course. If the rig is capable that is. I hate this UTG scope. Very picky about where your head is at or it blacks out. I have had cheaper scopes that were much better. I'll upgrade when I get a real PCP. If I can hold out that long.

Oh, I just checked with my range finder. 37 yards is the longest shot anywhere in my yard I'll need so I'll see how it's performance is at that range with these pellets and go from there. 10-37 yards is my zone. I also talked to Pyramid arms, the retailer, and they said I can leave it pumped up full all day as long as I shoot the air out at the end of the day so its not under pressure 24/7. I'll call air venturi to confirm this. Critters don't wait around while you hammer 15 pumps into it.

I just talked to Air venturi tech support. It won't hurt it to stay pumped up but I should check it at the end of the day to verify it hasn't leaked down any. Chronograph in the am right after pumping and at the end after setting all day pumped up. They shouldn't leak they said but it can happen. The other thing was pumping it up in the cold and the temp goes up during the day increases the pressure like anything containing air. They said 10-12 pumps in the morning will be safe for the gun all day with temperature fluctuations. The tests I've read show only a 10 fps average increase putting 15 pumps vs 12 anyway. More information as I gather it.

Not 10 per pump for the last three, 10 total for the three.

Never thought about not being able to keep it pumped up. As a kid I would just put the airguns away never once let the air out.
I keep driving by the local VFW hall and they have a piece of trailered artillery out front with the end of the barrel welded up.
Thinking with a portaband and some creative plumbing it would be a hoot of a PCP gun!!

There is a place called Lewis farms north of us. They have a petting zoo and all kinds of attractions for kids. They have air operated cannons that shoot apples. You wouldn't want to get hit with one I can tell you that. Lol. I think they have one for pumpkins too but they shoot that off.

To be clear, A PCP gun with it's onboard tank can be left filled indefinitely.

What are the consequences of leaving a onboard pump airgun under pressure?

Thanks for the quick review. I’m almost considering buying one in 177 caliber, only because I already have upwards of 30k 177 pellets on hand  The big selling point for me is that it holds multiple pellets. The single shot break barrel that I own shoots at up to 1200fps, but lord help me if I miss and have to reload in a hurry. Having a bolt action pellet rifle just sounds slick too

Some manufacturers say it can damage the seals in their guns.

So I set up on the deck tonight in the calm and tried to get in the zone. I changed its zero to the 37 yard corner. This was the result after getting it on target. 3 shots. IMG_20230427_184342839~2.jpg

Now... scope still sucks but the main problem is the fact that I can't get a proper cheek weld because the scope is to high for the stock's cheek piece. It's necessary to clear the barrel. Once I get a cheek pad on top, to dial in my natural hold, things will improve. The scope will appear to be better once its easy to line up behind it.

Not sure the magazine / bolt action will be faster to load with the 15 pumps to achieve max power.

Ya know, sometimes thinking things through isn’t my strong suit :hair:
I just may have to go with a true PCP rifle after all.
