accentra 52i price

Ok folks what do you say ? Stopped at dealer and they had the Accentra 52i in the Mojica brown (enamel maybe) and wifey wants it. With the coupon taken off and another$100 off they are at $4399 +tax Salesman/owner also will sell new 15ft. 4" "kit" at discount, about $400. Awesome looking stove that will heat my home effortlessly for years, but I think he can come down a little more. Wife LOVES the stove but I can get it in black$500 cheaper. Also can get the 35i or Quad e2 much cheaper, and I won't need a new pipe.

Do you think the $500 premium for the Mojica is worth it ? Anyone have one that has a few tons through it and can attest to weather the finish is as tough as the stove?

If you don't get the enamel, and the enamel is what your wife wants, I am here to tell you that it will cost you far more than $500 in the long run.
When I bought my Harman, I took the wife into the shop, I showed her the one stove. Wrote the check and left.
She loves this stove, but only has the old stove to compare it to. We are both happy and warm. In fact she just now turned on the stove. Temps are dropping.

Yea I didn't know the shiney brown one was in the showroom. I turned to tell her she wasn't getting the shiny one and her mouth was open and she was staring at it and I knew I was in trouble !!

Ha. Going to try to get a price on the e2 in mahogany tomorrow. Wifey says it looks ok. Should be a little cheaper. Only worry is its a first year product.

we are at $4299 for the stove, and that doesn't include the $100 discount, so, you'd be at $4199......we include a ton of pellets as well in that price, but those prices DO NOT include delivery and installation.....

anyhow, enamel is great, as its easy to clean off, BUT, if you chip it, its forever chipped........Harman includes a can of touch-up paint, but that's just spray on.....you'll still know its chipped there........

 

Chipped enamel, just character marks. There isn't much of anything in this house that keeps the " just off the showroom floor" look. Stuff that has to be handled with kid gloves goes in the china cabinet, everything else subject to wear and tear just like me, and I have the marks to prove it!

 

Okay here is where we are at. Lousy weather, that price was out the door, no delivery, installation or pellets. I was going to try to get him to throw in a ton of Alleghenys, but I think we are going in another direction. The Quad E2 comes in a mahogany enamel that my fair lady will accept. I spoke to the Quad dealer a mile down the road who I would really like to do business with and he will order me one tomorrow and its gonna be $500 cheaper, which I accept. I have to admit I really like the Harman and I think it would fit in my heatalator fireplace better than the Quad, but the Quad dealer is closer, local, a real nice guy, less expensive and a real nice guy. I think the Quad will do a nice job heating my little home for the foreseeable future, and if there is a problem I think this dealer will handle it. I worked for him (wow ) 35 years ago and well, we are both still around. Sooooooooo ........... tomorrow I'm going to order a Quadrafire E2 mahogany enamel stove !!!!!

That is good. Can't beat getting a good stove from a dependable dealer. If the wife is happy with the color, and you are happy with the performance, sounds like a good outcome to me! I'm glad you have some choice. Not so lucky for me when I first put in the Napoleon nps40. Now have the Harman p68. I hope you ck around and try different pellets.
My fist stove was so picky. This stove burns anything I put in and gives me all the heat I can use. No way will I pay 30% more for 6 % more BTU's . My theory is insulate your home, get a good stove, operate your stove according to instructions, get your best buy on pellets.

 

Just fired our new E2 up for the first extended run. I think I am in love!

Quads are good units as well, Schoon, and given the fact the dealer seems like a good guy, and its cheaper, certainly seems like a home run!

 

Does the E2 have an auto cleaning pot or manual? I believe I've heard they have a wireless stat from the factory?

It has a manual clean but also the combustion fan ramps up every hour for 99 seconds to blowout the burn pot. And yup, comes with a wireless remote t-stat. I ordered it today and it should be in next Thursday. Smoke, I can't wait to give ya some feedback. I'll try to get some pics cause I know we love pics. And pellets .....and beer.
