eatonpcat made a comment somewhere about being able to leave the window open and heat 1 square acre? (good one B! )
I still have some snow on the roof from the last little blast we had a week ago! And lots in the yard, too.
What is a marvel to me is that, you have a generous person like Dennis (and others) who donates a time and his property and invites an eclectic group of individuals to have a GTG. Suddenly, without a bunch of planning, a couple of threads are posted. Members start announcing what food they can bring and what supplies, there is some discussion about stoves and cooking gear, hitching rides and suddenly everyone arrives. A full sized event Happens and people start cutting and splitting firewood and eating and having a good time (especially eating)! I know it is not quite that simple but it is a testament to what goodhearted people who have a common interest (firewood) can accomplish. Dennis and all you FHC folks did yourselves proud! I have enjoyed all the pictures and comments from a distance! The food "at a distance" was a little tough but I made it through it all. Best wishes all!
Well Russ, we would honored to have you join us and personally give away some of your highly desirable and sought after artwork. You have missed out on a great life experience if you haven't met a gang of FHC ers in person.
X2. Ive never been to a "formal" FHC GTG, but have met many members in person. Some quality human beings for sure.
