I am trying to identify what type of wood I am coming across. Any help in identifying these wood types is appreciated. Thank you.

That’s quite the mix. I see Pin Oak, maybe red maple, deodar cedar and ash?

    Welcome aboard Brenan D :salute:

ID’s from rounds can be tricky from afar. While Chud may be close or spot on, best I choose to offer is “CSS’d, it’s all firewood.”

Pic 2 looks like red maple. Pic 3 looks like pin oak. I see an ash log in the last pic.

Is all the wood yours Brenan D?

I want to thank y'all for helping me identify those rounds. I forgot to mention I am in Northwest Arkansas. I have been splitting wood since 2013 but only for my house. The past two years I started to cut and split more wood for my neighbors who also heat their homes with wood. In the past couple of months I have partnered with a dump location for tree and landscaping companies and have a free source of trees that are being cut down for construction projects. I have invested in a commercial splitter that should be built in a couple of months and upgraded from my Stihl MS271 to a Stihl 500i. I will probably pick your brains for the unforeseeable future. Thanks for being so welcoming.

Sounds like you could teach us a thing or two. Quite the upgrades. Love my 500. :saw: Keep the 271 for smaller wood.

Hang around here and post lots of pics. We love pics! :ithappened:

Hoard on and work safe!:tree: :saw: :axe: :stacker: :woodsign:

I see ash and maybe water oak. Glad you have a good source of wood for your new adventures.
What kind of splitter did you order?
Nice upgrade on the saw too.

    Welcome aboard Brennan!

I thought the second pic looked like a maple to me, as others have said.

If you've been splitting a decade, you probably have plenty of knowledge to share as well. ;)

I'm seeing maple (red or possibly silver - the big log in the second pic), I see oak (something in the red oak family which has a lot of species in it) and I definitely see some ash.
