    I was given a can opener that takes the lid off at the ring, I like it but no sharpener like we were all used to. And x20 on the electric skillet, except my Nana's was pork chops instead of chicken. :drool:

    With 15 kids in our family, we couldn't afford one of those dandy can openers till the 80's when they hit the thrift stores.
    Grandma made the most amazing good fried spuds in an electric skillet like that back then....

    Mother has never had one of those. I was about 10 when I saw the first one at a buddy’s house.
    Fried tators & chicken in one of those were great but usually just from cast iron.
