    Nice day ahead. Mid-50's.

We've gone to having just morning fires, then let it go out. No need to keep it going during the day. I build a fire I the evening, but don't light it until morning. Works for us!

Morning all Just above freezing with heavy overcast. We can see a break in the clouds over the mainland mountains. Prediction is for thunderstorms for today. campinspecter went out and got a load of firewood yesterday and got rained on. He then made a trip over and unloaded it at Mom's. Not the day that it was predicted. Snow on the road down island. Winter hasn't lessen its grip yet.

    Everyone have a great day.

Good morning! 36F and mostly sunny, not as windy today. Finished working on the F150 drivers window last night. It wasn't the switch, fuse or relay. So I did my best redneck engineering and put a 2x4 across the bottom of the inside of the door and used a piece of trim wedged in to hold the window up. Seems pretty solid. I'll tear back into some other time. At least I can drive it now. Tonight I think I need to split a partial rack of sugar maple that's been sitting next to the driveway for too long. Have a God day!

Good morning, y'all. Hope yall have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY.
Upper 40's right now. Back on the 7PM-7AM shift for 3 nights. Need to work on an old wood shed, so it can be filled with oak.
But more important thing to do first. Please say a little prayer for Miz Carol, she is having a CT scan done on her aorta @10AM, it was a little large awhile back, they're wanting to check it again. Her 6 month check-up showed her hemoglobin had dropped about 2 points, Dr said he thought she was losing blood somewhere. Got other test scheduled a bit later. Hope they find nothing wrong and some iron supplement will help.

Another nice day ahead after a cool start. Mid-40's heading to mid-50's. Mostly sunny.

I'll be doing some cutting this morning. Helping a neighbor clean up a blowdown.

    Be safe

    Good morning y'all.

    61/81 and sunny.

Planning to go pick up a big oak log this morning, we got it ready to go Monday, but the guy's machine blew a hydraulic line, so we had to wait to get it loaded.
This afternoon, we're scheduled to go saw down a big pine for a guy that's given us a bunch of free sawlogs in the past.

    Y'all have a blessed day!

Good morning! 39F and partly sunny. Mowed part of the back yard last night after work. Looks much better. Fired up the splitter to finish up some sugar maple. I got into the second chunk when a split under pressure went flying off toward the front. The splitter died immediately. I walked around to the engine and found that it hit the spark plug. Broke the tip off, which I had to extract with needlenose pliers. Obviously I didn't make much progress. I'll grab a new plug plus one for the backpack blower and get back to it.

T.Jeff Veal praying for good test results for Miz Carol. We know the Great Physician can handle the job! Have a God day!
