Most store CC are a rip off. Only way to use them is for the discounts and then pay them off before they are due. Never carry a balance from month to month.

I needed to buy a suit for myself. Amazing just how hard it is to find here in the U.P.

Ended up finding one at a kohls. Girl asked if I had a kohls card and I kinda laughed at the question with a "No, why do you ask?"

"Because if you sig up for one, you'll get 30% off the entire purchase"

"30%? Give me a pen....." :salute:

99 was laughing saying and now you're going to be on their mailing list. :)

There was an option to not be on the mailing list and to opt out of providing an email address.

I'm pleased to say that kohls has honored both of those requests! :handshake:

Now, if they only started carrying carharts..........:smoke:

Wait....what? I can stop looking for "man stuff" there?

Actually, when 99 wants to stop there, I'll sit in the parking lot.

They don't even have a "man chair" in those stores!!! :picard:

Come on down for a visit. We have a store in town (about 10 miles) where they have a huge selection of carharrt and even advertise about their inventory and prices. My wife told me her parents bought from that family owned store for as long as she could remember. I think they have now been in business over 100 years.

Well, recently bought a new to me trailer. All galvanized very heavy duty 6 x 12' tandem. Original owner bought it new last year and then sold his tractor and parcel of land. Trailer has about 150 miles on it. This thing is built like a tank. The flooring planks are 2.5" Hemlock on 16" galvanized steel centers. Since it was a beautiful day here, I decided to put 2 coats of penetrating oil stain on them. They turned out awesome. That should give them some decent protection.

Doesn't seem like it will be here long, so hopefully Friday will be the last one except for flurries that don't stick. Boo on more mud though.

Backwoods Savage What is the name of the store that carries a lot of Carhart? Looks like I will be over in the Frankenmouth area, maybe in June.

Cleaned up the yard today and stacked what I had split. So the trailer is empty.

that made the truck take notice. I need to load more to the rear though.. I’ll likely figure out how to hook up the spring bars for the weight distribution hitch.

the truck was 5750 lbs. I hope to get an empty truck/ trailer weight in the morning. I live like 1/2 block from the local grain elevator. So getting stuff weighed is easy for me.

About the limit of what my truck is rated for.
    D5B014E4-BBDD-44A0-867A-2F5DDB44EEDA.jpeg

The steers were 2640, truck was 7020. Makes the drives around 4300 lb. So the trailer was 10,000ish pounds.

this is also the first time I’ve also put this combination together.
Yop, this is the trucker in me making things right.

Makes those stacks 6900 lbs for 2 cord of mainly ash at about 25% moisture. Be interesting to see what it weighs when it hits 17-19%. Probably 1400-1500 lbs lighter.

If the weights were recorded as split weights the net, gross and axle weights could be off upwards of 5% positive or negative. Additionally whatever the scale error is. Also the scale can bind on the approaches . Probably doesn't matter for your purposes.

Certified platform scale, at a grain elevator.

Do the math off of the numbers and that gives you the load value just like a truckload of grain
