    It looks like summer begins today! 3 days of 80 degrees! We don't usually see this until late May or early June.

    Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. It's chilly down here this morning, sitting at 40° now, heading to 79° predicted...
    Decided to make a new garden spot next to our daughter's house, dirt looks good, reminds me of that dark dirt we saw in the fields of Ohio and Michigan... 0411231727.jpg 0411231728.jpg
    Got several projects on the list for the next couple days...heading to the woodyard to move some pecan to the splitter to start the morning.
    Got a tree to clean up that has been taken down and then we have 2 pines to drop and clean up on the lot next to us.

    On the way over we're going to look at a bunch of cedar that's marked for being dozed.... possibly going to buy it.

    Morning all. Close to freezing this morning but I think the sun is going to come out and warm the place up. campinspecter is headed out for firewood this morning after he gets the laundry done.

    Sawdust Man That is a real nice looking greenhouse. Good size as well.
    T.Jeff Veal If you till our dirt like that, nothing but rocks show up on the surface. We would have to pack stuff in to make a garden.
    Backwoods Savage enjoy your three days of summer. We have fresh snow on the hills behind us.

    Good morning! 65F and sunny. A/C is running in the office. Finished the alternator installation in the F150 last night. Starts and runs much better now. Also fixed the starter on the splitter so I can get back to work. My tree service guy showed up around 8:00 pm last night with a load of white pine chips (thankfully no logs!). I have a pretty significant pile of chips so I need to get them distributed. Bible study at church tonight if we can make it. Otherwise, I'll probably do some splitting. Have a God day!

    Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. 50° this morning, partly cloudy, will be warming up soon. Got several things to do today, haul a load of pine to the chip mill, several errands to do, take this 4 layer red velvet cake to our oldest daughter for her 35th birthday today...a friend made it for us...

    Good morning! 54F and sunny. Put more bundles in the roadside stand before I went to work today. I need to empty all the cardboard I've been collecting in the bed of the truck into the burn pit so I can deliver some wood. Music practice at church tonight. Have a God day!

    Morning all. Low overcast this morning but I think the sun will peak out during the day. Cloudless sunshine filled day yesterday so campinspecter went out and got a load of firewood. He is delivering it to Mom today. I am off to work. My co-worker was all up in the air yesterday. She is planning a surprise birthday party for someone and when that someone told her she was flying away for a funeral in another part of the country, she did some fast talking and has managed to change her friend's plans. The main reason I quit planning surprise parties is the person that they are for never cooperates!

    T.Jeff Veal that cake looks great. I have never made a red velvet cake. I think using beet juice now is better than all the red dye they used back in the day. Enjoy.
