The remnanats you have can patch that. Lay the remnant where you want to cut off damage. Trace with pencil/sharpie etc. Cut out with saw. Use good piece in its place. Good idea to use 2x4 blocking under seams to beef it up where you "patch". It should work fine even though the "grain" is the wrong way.

You are welcome my friend. Glad to help. I noticed Lowe's in Wallingford had a couple more damaged rolls. Only problem is its a different brand, but its fiberglass...same as the stuff i got for you. The price on that stuff went up too. I can get them dirt cheap if still there. I was there last week IIRC.

Weather is moving in later today. Right or wrong, I got up on the roof and caulked 80% of the seams between the OSB to minimize the amount of water that’s going to drip through. Also got the drip edge nailed down in the front. If all goes to plan, next weekend I can finish the drip edge and get the rolled roofing on. The end is in sight.

Scrounged a couple nice cedar posts today. These will be for the lean-to extension for my splitter on the right side of the shed. I acquired a western red cedar utility pole cross arm that I’ll use for the ledger board. We’ll see what I can find for rafter material.

The downed tree I cut these from has a larger section further down the trunk I might save for milling. These came from higher up where the main trunk forked into 2 separate leaders. It would be cool to do some cedar milling.

4 courses so far… kind of tapped out money wise for a bit here after replacing my heating oil tank. I’m going to buy a large tarp to cover the unfinished section for the winter.

The aforementioned mill-worthy logs. Not terribly large, but as big as I want them to be for how far I have to drag them out of the woods (about 300 ft) :picard:
