Thanks. Seemed similar to a small tree I took down the other day. Just went and looked at the pieces. Not so similar. I’m putting it down as some sort of Hickory.

Any pics? Did you harvest for firewood or leave it for your sister to clean up? ;)

I would of told you that's a gum!! Sorry I didn't see it or was able to warn you. I would of said without a doubt that was a gum, either black or sweet gum!

I left it after trying to split that one round pictured. I think some poor soul took it a few days later!
Its definitely on my do not take list along with elm and sycamore.

I know you have a great memory, let’s see how great LOL
Remember the tree you id’d as a gum near the trail? Right next to it was that bent over tree a large branch had bent into a loop. That’s the one.
I finally cut it down. Had hoped it might decide to straighten back up on its own. Nope. Time to go.

Almost done with pen #3. :)

I vaguely remember that tree. You are out of control with that conveyor. Is there a weight limit? I want a ride!

Have you touched the BL yet? Going in its own pen?

The weight limit is less than me. I went up there once and it wasn’t all that happy about it :)
Think I’ll stack the black locust near the other stacked black locust.
Ya think that piece is a hickory?
