Yep. I did mine back in the middle of March. There are a small handful getting new IS stoves. It'll start pretty soon, I would think, once folks start actually burning. I'm pretty psyched to start burning mine to see how it handles for a whole season, and still wish I'd had the money to get a BK Princess or an IS. With the forecasts I've been seeing, I may get to start having fires a couple days next week. Don't know if you saw it, so here's my odyssey......http://firewoodhoardersclub.com/forums/index.php?threads/englander-nc30-deal-ordered.3285/
Would this replace the gas stove or the Keystone? I'm doing a bunch of insulating the next 12 months. So, I held of on my BK search for the time being. Trying to insulate underneath the floor in the living/dining/kitchen rooms. Looks like I could do it myself with spray-in foam for about $700. If that can cut down on a lot of the incoming cold I won't have to try and cram two BK Kings into this place.
I'll have to do a new thread on my NZ3000 here......it's a long story (some of you have seen it before), but it is a detailed look at a sound install of a modern ZC fireplace. The install is now almost three years old and working wonderfully, so it's been tested and used hard several seasons already. That will be a project for one of these upcoming autumn evenings.......
Matter of fact......you could start slow, then when it gets cooler and you have a teensy bit more time, gradually add to it and answer questions. The awe factor will be cool to watch, because not everyone here has seen that build.
Maybe I'll do that PD. I browsed through the pics the other night, it was a fun build but definately exhausting. I still have some stonework to do outside next spring and I was reminiscing on that looking at those pics. I love doing stone work. I'll start the thread even further back, when I gutted that original room (it was built in the early 1930's), it was a LOT more extensive than you can imagine......
I have a Woodstock PH sitting in my garage waiting to b installed, I have a little work to do to get it ready but hope to install it within the next two weeks.
I'm going to be Beta testing the 211 this fall. I'm so behind our new production model IS is still sitting in the middle of my living room. At the rate I'm going, I might just set it aside and wait to install the Beta Franklin Hybrid (211) in October and not even fire up the IS this year. If I had the cash, I'd line my masonry chimney and install the IS in the basement while we're Beta testing the 211 in the living room. But then I'd have no place to vent my natural gas water heater and furnace...
I'm thinking Keystone but it may not fit in my modified fireplace. Still waiting for the specs to come out. If I get tired of the gas stove it could replace that as well. We shall see.
My WS IS will be coming up soon. Probably in the next 2 weeks +/-. I will probably post pics in the 'production IS' thread.
Will do, it will be interesting to see how it compares to my Princess, I'm doing a little tightening up that may help a little but no big changes. I'm hoping I have the extra BTU's to pump out when I need them on the colder days/nights, that's my main reason for changing stoves.
