Happy St. Patrick's Day! 35F and cloudy, had some rain overnight. I brought a rack of hickory rounds to the wood yard last night and built a new rack to split into. I'll get to the splitting tonight or tomorrow. I have a small pile of honey locust logs to buck tonight as well. Snow flurries moving in late. Have a God day!:ireland:

Morning All. Wow, I missed a couple of days and there is so much to catch up on.
Chazsbetterhalf Prayers for your quick recovery. I didn't want to like your post But I wanted you to know I saw it. Chaz was right. You need to be in the right place to get medical help.

Tuesday campinspecter went out and got a load of firewood. After he finished the bucking, it started to rain and then snow. Thankfully the snow didn't stick around. Definitely not on the forecast.
Wednesday he took it over to Mom's to unload the truck.
Yesterday, we went down island for a medical appointment and warranty work on the car. It was a gorgeous day.
Today is the last day of work for two weeks. Report card day so it will be a busy one. A lot of students have already left for hockey trips and vacation trips so it will be a quiet day in the halls. We have a U18 boys team that qualified for the Provincial Tournament.

    Everyone have a great day.

Good afternoon, y'all. Hoping y'all are having a FABULOUS FRIDAY. About 70 and breezy now, rain supposed to move in later. I'm on 7AM-7PM this weekend, so if any wood work happens, lights on...been a fairly quiet day.
Chazsbetterhalf hope you're feeling better and Chaz can get some rest.

Yep, I hear that all the time, especially on the FB groups...
Wish you were closer, I could have shared it with ya...
There's a few mills around here, but not much demand for high quality lumber. Sure didn't want it used for pallets. We can get as much or more for firewood as a load of logs. And oak specs are 14.6, 16.6 or 18.2 with 12" minimum. Hard for us to haul that size,

Good morning. It is 6f here and making ice. A buddy and I are going shed hunting and some tip-up fishing for pike down on backwaters of the Mississippi this afternoon. The fire feels good at this moment!

    Good morning y'all.

    30/37 and sunshine a plenty!

Feed / alfalfa run on the agenda for today, then maybe some clean up in the barn so we can set up the mill and start sawing logs on Monday.

    Have a blessed day y'all.

Sounds like a good day. How many mills do you have? Have you finished sawing in Arkansas? Is that your mill down there?

Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a SUPER SATURDAY. Could see plenty of stars when I left for work this morning, but cloudy now. 42° now, forecast for low 30's tonight, time for another :fire: ...
Starting raining on my way home last night, so no wood was harmed...:(:(...see what happens this evening.
Be blessed and be a blessing.

Morning all. It looks like it might be a nice day here. Beautiful sunrise. it is the start of my two weeks off. I think I will be busy the whole time.

I was reading about kindness this morning. A simple act of kindness can create ripples and touch people lives that you may never know. The Bible says:

"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others" Philippians 2:3, 4

    Happy Sabbath, everyone.

Yup it turned out to be a pretty good day here.

We only have the one mill, we just move it around to the different jobs....the other mill in some of my pics belongs to the man that owns the place where we've been sawing all the cedar cants.

We'll be going to go back to saw more logs in Arkansas in a few weeks, Lord willing.
