I'm actually in Hillsboro - right next door to Hennniker. I got 30". Power went out at 11:30 am Tuesday. The transformer up and died from age, most likely (no limbs down or any other cause). They resurrected it for a short time about 11:15 am Thursday (15 minutes shy of being out for 48 hours), but it went for good about 1am this morning. They got here quickly but figured out they needed to do a real swap out this time. So, was out until about 9:40 this morning.

Thanks for the concern. I didn't have power but I did have heat by keeping the P43 running off of my Ryobi power supply. Missed my old water heater that didn't need electricity to keep me supplied. Had to go into work yesterday morning to settle a couple of things, get my out of office auto reply set up, and fill in my time card. That building has showers for the small gym, so I spent some time getting myself cleaned up. Cell phone still wont get calls or texts. But, I do get FB and email.

Wednesday I had planned on taking PTO anyway (use or lose). I just had not planned on doing snow clean up (after doing so several times on Tuesday), and juggling things to make sure I had heat. At least my elderly neighbor didn't lose power - Don't know why, his comes off the pole in my yard, which is where the transformer died.

Thursday's power fix was done by two trucks; one from Wisconsin and the other from Indiana - both from Intren

This morning's fiasco involved a whole lot more. First pic is from my driveway looking norht. That pole is in front of my roadside garden

This is looking south from my driveway - and there was another work truck on the crossroad that T's on my road.

This was after the new transformer had been attached (although it was several hours before getting back electricity).

Is the ryobi a gas generator or a battery pack/inverter?

If anyone needs a UPS for their Harmon to shut down gracefully during power outages - Amazon has the APC/Schneider 850G on sale for $86. I have this on the P43 and it has worked well. This IS NOT a battery backup, but a UPS that Harman stoves will sense when it it is on battery and shut down the stove automatically and pulse the exhaust fan.

45F out this morning......Saturday was about 60F .......The long dark cold is starting to release it's grip....At least here anyway........

But we have been known to see a shot of snow in April......

i looked up that ryobi battery you mentioned. That’s neat. Best part is those batteries can be used for the tools and not just sit around when not in use.

The one I have. Same situation.....I use the batteries for my weed wacker, blower, and hedge trimmer. Probably going to get an edger too, and maybe a chain saw trimmer.

I already had a 40v chain saw, and was thinking that at times it would be nice to have power in my new shed as well as a short term power outage plan. And, when one of my mowers dies, I'll probably replace with battery model. So yeah, I was thinking versatility when looked into the the power station.

I have a bunch of the 18v tools also. I was happy I had the 18v work light udring the outage. I should buy stock in Ryobi as much money as I've spent on their tools and accessories :D
