great idea. Have never used the splitter in the vertical position…probably why I didn’t think of it. Lol. I agree that that would be the only reason to tip it up. My back is in bad enough shape without bending over to split vertical. I have gotten to where I split everything straight out the back of the dump trailer. Can roll huge rounds straight out of the trailer and onto the log catchers. Hookeroon comes in handy.

Hey thanks ! No..the pin was in its spot. They had it that way so people weren't messing with the handle in front of the store where the splitter was..so they said. Anything from tsc...I go over with a fine tooth comb ! Sometimes I wonder who is assembling things up there lol.

Good idea. Our hoses were leaking. Had to tighten them up.

Believe me..I checked the fluids before I even pulled the starter rope ! And my dad bought his Huskee 35 ton there like 20 years ago. It had bare minimum hydro fluid in it. This one was no exception either !

Love my county line. Got mine just before Christmas. Split about 6 cords so far. Red oak beech and red maple. No problems with any of it. I agree Jack stand sucks. Especially if your by yourself.

This thread inspired me to buy a TSC log catcher. Should have done it years ago.

I’m a true procrastinator. I’ve stacked 2 rounds up beside the splitter for years and laid pieces there, always wanting a table. I have no doubt I’ll love this addition. Thanks for the push? Lol. :handshake:

Hey no problem ! My dad has had his 35 ton forever. I just bought him the log catcher 2 years ago. He wondered why he ever split without it lol !

 is right… only utilizing half the capabilities of this kind of “tool” is like having a hammer without a claw.

Y’all know I’m just ribbing ya’s about not going vertical- I love how lively the discussion can get.

To each his own orientation- at least when splitting wood.

I bought a new one from TSC and it was over full of hydro and had some loose bolts from store assembly. Pin hole leak in the upper weld on the cylinder made me return it... but that was a fluke. For the price, I would buy a TSC/Countyline 10/10 times again. I have the previous version now (Huskee) and it has been nothing but great to me. I know that lower engine mount might make you nervous, but they probably did that to keep the noise down.

My Champion 23T is from Rural King and was obviously assembled by a team of 16 YO computer geeks...they couldn't possibly have had the hydraulic lines more twisted up...simple enough to fix though...wheels didn't fall off on the way home, so

Bikes are the same way. I have yet to see a new bike properly assembled and adjusted. Sometimes I think they tell the people to put them together wrong on purpose. Handlebars backwards, forks backwards, derailleurs connected to the wrong side, pedals on the wrong sides, etc...
