House was 63 this morning. So, after building a fire this morning, I fired up two more times just to get it over 70 in the house. Mission accomplished as it is 73 at table height right now.
Looks like we should expect mid 30's all week for the highs. I'll be happy when we can expect mid 50's.
High of 74 today was in the lower 40s this morning Loaded three pieces of oak this morning to keep the house in the 70s.
Not been on here for a while, hope everyone is well. We’re in for a brief cold snap, burning mainly Scots pine.
Had to plow again today. 5-6 inches of the heavy wet cement type snow. 30 was the low and 37 was the high.
Had a fire last night, no reload this morning as we were up to 65 and sunny today. House at 72 and the rain and wind just kicked up. Going to strike one off about 9:00. Supposed to be colder for the week now. 24/7 burning again for at least a week it looks like.
Good Morning, 26/60 with light snow. Red Oak is on the spicket this morning, followed by Red Maple as I raise the temp inside.
Another nice day. The last 4-5 days were foggy in the morning. Except on Monday....it was snowing. and then foggy. 37 now
I sure hope the temperature drops quickly or it’s going to be a sauna with oak and hickory burning. Supposed to get down to 35.
Great daylight temps past few days. Cold spell coming. Down to 32 tonight. I split some rounds that had been neglected a couple years. It was near spoiled so I crammed the boiler with it. May have been white oak.
In Yankton, SD yesterday, today and hopefully will be heading back to Omaha tomorrow sometime. 31F now with a little drizzle going on.
