The cold is hanging on.....Not bad at 30F this morning....
Yesterday was on and off snow......Let up by mid day and melted off the snow in the trees......
Just a mess on the roads......Frozen ruts .......YUCK

We were heading out yesterday to go see the Daughter and the roads here on the Mt were snot....
Way too many little cars heading down and I decided that we were not going to fight the mess trying to get back up later when the crazy hoards were trying to get back home and stuck blocking the roads.......

So we came home and just relaxed by the fire and watched TV all day.......

Things were actually not bad by late afternoon......The weather folks have missed the forecasts big time lately.....This gets me very cautious .......

Getting up the Mt in the snow is not a big issue.....Stuck cars blocking the roads can be a big issue.....
People get stuck and then just walk away.....Then others try to get around the stuck ones and crash into them and make a bigger mess.....
Soon its a total blockage and nothing can get through.....

Not gonna deal with that crap.....
Plus I do not want the new to us rig messed up....

According to TheCloudBoy on Reddit (who some speculate is Eric Weglarz formally of WMUR, CH 9. Got fed up with TV weather and is now part of National Weather Forecasting, Inc.) the storm Fri nite thru Sat could give SE NH 4-8" of white stuff, possibly more if the storm shifts a bit more south. Wet stuff again here, fluffy up north.

But the long range forecast for next week shows no storms.

Good as I have just finished cleanup # 4 in the past 6 days. One more to go.

Cant complain about this winter but I could use a short break.

Channel 9 showed 8-14" for my area last night. thecloudboy shows 12-16". Unless something amazing happens to the storm track, I see more snow blowing in my future (I've shoveled every day this week, except for Tuesday when there was enough to blow the snow).

    Snow...Cold...Warm up and melt....more snow...melt....cold...Repeat.....

I am glad we had a large supply of shells....We have not been able to get to the plant since December....

We always refill...then burn the fresh stock.... REPEAT

We are into stuff now that is several years old.....As long as it is dry...Good as gold.........

March is off to a cold start with snow, rain, snow.....
The new to us Suburban is settling in well....Been using the 4x4 getting in and out quite a bit.
Road cleared off the other day except for a few shaded spots.....

Once this crap weather goes away Papa Smurf gonna get some little issues fixed.....

I ordered up the lift cylinders for the rear hatch and window....They got here yesterday....

BUT I AM NOT GONNA GO OUT IN THE COLD TO FOOL WITH THEM........

Couple things under the hood that need dealing with ....I am gonna farm that out and let the young fellas handle it.....

So far this rig looks like it was a great score.......250K miles but well maintained.....Should last a few more years.... we don't travel that much....just local stuff.........At our age there is no justification to buy a new rig..........

Yup, sure looks like you are going to get a big snow covering. Good thing your storage building is solid! Please stay safe and don't rush the snow removal. The sun is getting higher and the daylight is longer. It will melt.

Yeah, my new shed is great! Hopefully the metal shed keeps standing as there is a guy that wants it as a shed for chickens. But, can't get it picked up until the snow melts and the ground is firm.

Since I'm helping care for an elderly house-bound neighbor, I shovel and snow blow even more than I used to so emergency vehicles / first responders can get to him if needed. I also get his groceries twice per week then take out his accumulated garbage (he isn't really mobile, so that includes his senior toilet chair leavings). Also pick up his meds on occasion and do other small errands.
