Been sn*wing here since 9:30 am. Looks like I get to test my sn*wblower repair later this afternoon.

Not a lot, maybe 2-3 inches of light chit right now but just enough to test the machine and get some exercise.

If it makes him feel better, then go for it!
After my stay in CCU this week, I am not going anywhere. Home monitor on. I get my exercise on the keyboard. I have home telehealth which has been frustrating. Either the bp cuff won't work or the scales won't give me a weight. I've had both replaced but the scales still don't work. My home scales work just fine, but can't tie them into the system. But the scales at the hospital had me 20lbs lighter than my home scales. Then there are the pills. All day long. Hate the thought that we get so many medications from China.
Stay warm, stay inside, the snow will go away all in good time and without your help.

There I am in the cold cold garage, minding my own business working on some projects I have going, and the peepee 130 decides to swallow the room blower bearings ...great... only been running for an hour so it's still less than warm yet.

I suppose (sigh), if I have to right NOW before spins and wrecks the bearing holder.

Bearings on hand for such little contingencies, but still an unwelcome detour. Blower motor gets quite warm in operation, too hot to touch actually, and I remember looking at ceramic bearings but must have been too cheap to spring for them. The price I pay, lol

Ah well... all is good and back up and making heat again.
Editors note: (this is tongue in cheek, not really complaining)

It's easier than they would lead you to believe, though some care needs to be taken.

Everything is relatively small and easily bent/broken if ham handed, and tiny parts like snap rings will easily fly off into a black hole along with your left hand socks, which will halt progress immediately. Then you have to find one 6mm external snap ring of the correct thickness somewhere without having to buy a minimum 500 of them.

Small 1/4" drive ratchet set, couple screwdrivers, some mechanical aptitude will get anyone started. Taking photos each step taken no matter how small will save your bacon, I know it has for me when I'm working on something "new to me".

Nope! And with that I get a new tractor! I mean brand new not used up crap crud I'm used too! Plus I don't need to run out and clean up in the rush rush I used to have to do. Now its when I'm good and ready! She can stay home if I don't feel like dealing with the white stuff or have the kid do it.

    :p

My son was actually the deciding factor. He is into cold water fishes more than he used to be. Bass are the second fiddle now. Heck I might even sell the bass boat as we don't use it much now. Maybe a small putt putt boat for pops to fish some small lakes?? Still haven't decided yet.

On and off SN*W here that past couple days.....
35 F this morning.....Small systems rotating in from the coast...
Warmed up the past couple afternoons and cleared the snow from the trees.....A good thing...helps save the power lines.....

Running running two stoves .....Two mornings that saw low teens the big old quad came on and helped out.....
Dry windy cold down in the low teens puts a strain on things.......

We don't get that much deep cold here........
Ranch style house all spread out tend to be tougher to heat........

Your son is still living at home? I have a son living here. He, his wife and two kids live upstairs. I live downstairs. He works from home. He has a sweet deal with that. He looks out for us and that allows us to continue to live here and not go to some senior facility. Key factor here is I own the place so we can't be kicked out.

Yes sir, Hope he stays on as long as he wants. We might add on to the top of the shack to give him and his girl more room. Have to see what's involved. And then find the jingle. We too own the place besides yearly taxes and house insurance. Nice not having any big bills to pay.

Let him have it, it is his turn in front of the canon.

Has anyone here built band pass filters? Electrical not optical ones.

Was going to make the storm day norm, But my sons GF said she had a better idea. So she made Cinnamon rolls smothered with strawberries. Much better than the french toast pops usually makes. Guess we have a new ritual started! Mmmm mmmm!
