A good day splitting

    Had help today Ricky Blazin was able to work today he gave the splitter a good workout I broke down some big rounds to run over the splitter first pic is some big poplar and I cut the beech up also and broke it down second pic is getting started third is 4 hours later JB DSCF2108.JPG DSCF2110.JPG DSCF2112.JPG

    Yeah he is a big help he has been working for me on sundays at the mill or working on the firewood piles which I have gotten way behind processing

    It works well when you raise it to max height you get some that tumble back like any conveyor with firewood you get some jams but if you reverse it they usually clear I would have liked a 20 ft but I have limited under roof storage and 16 is all that would fit JB

    He has offered but I don’t mind hand splitting with the fiskars maul especially when most the wood in my yard is chesnut oak at the moment …use my maita 7900 with 20 in bar to noodle the stuff i cant split…lots of saw dust out there
