What we have here gentleman is a total lack of cigar knowledge. How bout a cigar 101? Basic 1, 2, 3? Cigars for dummies? Based on FHC experience not big city. I'll " watch this space"
OK! These are good. And so are these Yeah, the 5 vegas gold are good. The people I give them to like them and ask about them but they are occasional smokers. Another mild cigar would be macanudo cafe, Very mild but more on the tasteless side IMO. A ot of guys will tell you that this was their first cigar ever smoked....and usually at a young age. Most any thing from the Dominican Republic and light wrapper will be mild also. Afterthought.....Arturo Fuente cigars are good. Their Hemingway is outstanding!
No, it’s an indicator of how mild or strong the cigar is going to be. Generally speaking…Light colored (Connecticut) are going to be a very mild smoke. Then typically the darker the outside wrap the stronger they’ll get. There are a few exceptions that won’t follow those general rules. but as yooperdave said AF’s are very solid cigars…. Just ask… if you have any more questions…
Is Osage wood hard to buck and split Jim. I don’t have any around my parts that I know of. Our most difficult wood in VA would be gum. That stuff will make a preacher cuss, next in line would be hickory I’d say. I know folks tell me Osage puts out a lot of btu’s.
They have small thorns, get all intertwined with other trees & themselves, grow twisted & gnarly. They have lots of small branchs that will snag, slap & otherwise accost you. I don’t think it’s hard to buck or split just a PIA to get it to that stage. If I get out without blood being drawn it’s a win. I am trying to get some fence posts out of the best parts then the rest will be firewood.
Gotcha!!! I’ve had some locust with thorns before. Love locust, but never really had opportunity to score a lot of it.
I hope you find something you like. I really liked those Fireballs, a nice change up, not something I would want to smoke every day but a nice mild, different flavored cigar. I only had a cigarillo, I haven’t had a Corona yet.
